  1. Lucinda Williams is playing at Reggie's at 10 tonight. Maybe we'll get lucky and Tweedy will announce something for this week too.
  2. I know it has a lot to do with flooding, but it's insanely frustrating that it's basically not rained since they announced it was cancelled!
  3. unreal. Is there any precedence for this that might suggest it gets moved to an indoor venue somewhere? I feel terrible for all the people that came in from out of town.
  4. Really glad I got a tickets for the sound opinions show in case tonight gets cancelled. Great weather all week and then garbage on Saturday of course.
  5. How long have the other shows been going? If Jeff is on at 5:20, I'm guessing the show will be over at 7:30?
  6. kind of lame that the colored vinyl is $10 more than the black vinyl, especially since it's 150g vs 180g. I'll probably pony up for it anyways since i'm a sucker for that kind of stuff!
  7. does anyone who's seen a show at the Petrillo during the taste remember how late they usually go? Seems like the other stage shuts down at 7:45, will that hold true for the Petrillo stage as well?
  8. small price to pay for new Tweedy prior to the album release. pre-ordered.
  9. Sweet, really hope they have copies available at the chicago show!
  10. I got shut out of the initial lottery, but got an email for second chance tickets yesterday and was able to pick up a pair. also curious as to how the GA thing is going to work. I'm hoping that they just haven't figured out the seat numbers yet and they'll be issued when the tickets are mailed or something like that.
  11. New Madrid, Pieholden Suite and Cars Can't Escape are the 3 songs I want to hear every time I go to these shows for the last 8 years so this was a great start. Better show than last night for sure.
  12. that was indeed awesome. I don't know how he or any performer deals with the crowd yelling at him during an intimate performance like that, I would freak out every show haha.
  13. Fun show as always. I am continually surprised that people wait in line in the cold for hours to make their request and they pick something random like a zeppelin tune. Why not a Tweedy original rarity like Pieholden Suite?
  14. How does this work? Do people just show up and if there's room they let you in? How early do you think I'd need to get there to see Jeff?
  15. So iron and wine are headlining Friday and only getting 45 minutes? can that be right that they'd have that short a set?
  16. since this show starts at 5:30, has fireworks afterwards and is on a sunday night, will it end earlier than a normal show? debating driving out from the city for it, but I don't want to be getting home at midnight on a work night.
  17. I figured out the whole torrent thing because I wanted to hear this show again so badly, so I wanted to share the mp3 version for the not so tech savvy folks like myself. Hopefully this link works! http://www.sendspace.com/file/w0mc2n
  18. awesome. what are the odds that someone captures the stream and posts it somewhere?
  19. if anyone could put this (and the other) shows up on sendspace/media fire for us non-torrent folks, i'd appreciate it!
  20. Oh, I also hope the band doesn't wait another 2 years to come back! When they're mixing things up like this, I could see them every weekend.
  21. Please share a link when it's posted. I'm looking for the Opera and Metro shows as well yet. I personally loved the slow song heavyness of the show, but I can see where someone may not want that as a one off show. Maybe it was the mood I was in at that point, but it was just about perfect. Pieholden Suite would have put it over the top!
  22. Just a tremendous show. Watching from the hallway at LH is much preferred to the hall at the Metro! Definitely agree with the acoustic benefit vibe, very laid back, lots of deep cuts. Highlights were basically the first 11 songs and Spiders.
  23. The metro is one of my favorite venues, I just think the over soldness of it probably caused some problems that may have otherwise not happened.
  24. We watched the show in the hallway by the bar and there was a drunk girl that kept trying to start a fight with anyone who would try to get by her to get into the ballroom, like this was the first GA show she'd ever been to. It was the most obnoxious thing I've ever seen at a concert and definitely affected my enjoyment for the first 30 minutes while everyone was settling in. Of course, by the end of the show, she was the one barging in front of people and yelling at them, drunken hypocracy at it's finest. It was a fun show with a stellar setlist and I love the metro, but they definetly ove
  25. awesome show as everyone has noted. Highlights for me included Hell is Chrome, Radio Cure (!), ALTWYS, Say You Miss Me, Summerteeth, Magazine Called Sunset and Kicking Television. Really high energy show, even Jeff noted after Magazine Called Sunset "that was fast". One question I had though was what was up with the poster? I was expecting it to keep with the theme of the exterior of the venue, but instead we get a picture of what looks to be a statue of a woman's face. I'm assuming it has something to do with the details in the Vic, but i've never noticed it before. May be a moot poi
