The good news is that I don’t have to worry about a conflict with my brothers wedding, but seriously guys, make with the US dates! I do wonder if they’ll do June/July here or just wait until October (maybe to finish a new album?)

Ticket prices for shows have been going up rapidly in general the last few years. Seems like it’s hard to see a club show for less than $50 these days. I wouldn’t be surprised if the best seats on their new tour (whenever they announce it! Come on!) will be $100+.

Based on what Jeff’s said they’re going to be touring this summer after solid sound, what do you think they’re waiting for to announce? I’m really trying to hold off my family on planning stuff so I can schedule around Wilco tour! Seems like bands are announcing earlier and earlier these days so I was hoping we’d have heard something by now!

I feel like that’s been the case in years past. I wonder if he’s going to play the requests from the website instead of from the folks in line since that would give him a lot more time to prepare.

Wilco’s Facebook just added Jeff solo at the Vic on 3/22 and 23!

I've been wondering this myself and had the same thoughts about his solo tour. I thought I had read somewhere on the board after last year's shows that he might be changing up the format a bit, but April 19/20 right after the tour ends in Champaign would be too perfect. Even if he doesn't do the benefit in the usual all request style, I would hope that he would do a show or two so that us locals can hear the new songs!

So so many shows this year for me, a great year of live music and that’s with no Wilco too! Some of my favorites off the top of my head: Phish Alpharetta run Phish Rosemont run Yo La Tengo Thalia Hall run Neil Young Auditorium Theatre run Arcade Fire at summer fest War on Drugs at the Riverside Roger Waters at United Center Yes/ARW at Ravinia

The rock hall (like most halls of fame) is kind of a joke, but I’m very pleased to see Roxy Music get recognized.

When do we think the US tour will be? Think they'll just roll right out after Solid Sound? Fall tour? I'm getting antsy with all of these other announcements!

Bummed about missing PC tonight, but a monday night is tough for us non-city folk!

It’s even more frustrating when this is the text at the Wilcostore. Maybe we need to buy directly from them? Each physical album includes liner notes by George Saunders and a digital download

Not that I could find. I emailed customer service at the Wilco store to see what the deal is since it looks like if you buy online you get a download.

So no digital download if you purchased the vinyl at the store? I won’t have a chance to spin this tonight but was looking forward to putting it on my iPod for my drive tomorrow.

Hopefully some Chicago or Milwaukee dates get added!

That was fun, I thought Jason Narducy overall did a really nice job. The questions from the audience were predictably awful though. Why not ask about his songs or something instead of garbage like if rainbows are real? Let’s go rain is really growing on me.

Well that's kind of a bummer. Hopefully the Chicago crowd will ask better questions! I was a little bummed that Jason Narducy was announced as the moderator instead of someone more famous (like Jon Hamm!) but i'm really hoping that as a fellow musician, the topics of conversation will slant towards songwriting, etc.

got singles for both of the shows in the mid-priced range. A little bummed it's not with CH or POTR, but I can't complain too much about seeing Neil this summer!

Pieholden Suite. It is the one song that I want to hear at every show, but they basically never play it! If I ever lined up early enough for the Tweedy acoustic benefits, I would request it every year. I've been fortunate enough to catch 2 Wilco versions and 1 Tweedy solo in my 50+ combined shows, but damnit it is not enough.

Interesting. I’ve been going to these shows since 2007 and while I love that we get the deep cuts, Golden Smog, Loose Fur and Uncle Tupelo songs, I can appreciate Jeff maybe wanting to switch to a less *ahem* taxing format for him!
