  1. Maybe he didn't want to constantly tour, just do it now and again. Although he was with Iron and wine on tour in 07 in Europe when they came back for a second run of shows he wasn't with them.

  3. Hi Everybody, Recently we finished a viral ad for Eddie Rockets(a restaurant chain here in Ireland) that is up As usual with this kind of ad it's success will depend on the amount of views it gets so please take a look and if you like it(we hope you do !) you might take the time to send to onto anybody you may think will get a laugh from it. The URL is Thanks, Sean More of our stuff is here http://www.vimeo.com/user905251
  4. Yeah that was me, I wanted to try interview Silver Jews when they played Dundalk in Ireland and maybe try shoot them doing a few songs, didn't get anywhere with it though, and now they've broken up, I guess I never will ! No more sleeve photos from me, I guess as horrible as it is to wait, its better to have something to look through when you get the album, you'll thank me later, there's a good few photos in the sleeve along with the lyrics
  5. Yep that's me, I've moved away from illegal blogging and now make music videos www.myspace.com/souljackerfilms or www.souljacker.ie For some reason I cant rotate it but heres another pic from the inner sleeve -
  6. Got my CD copy today, albums in Ireland are always in the shops on a Friday, even when they're scheduled to come out the following Monday or Tuesday. Cool photos, lots of the band with the camel and different nudie suit pics. Tower Records in Dublin have a window display. Road Records in Dublin gave me a free poster ! Here's the back cover -
  7. Any chance I can be included as well ? Thanks
  8. Have people already seen these ? http://www.vimeo.com/1061877
  9. Short notice I know, but there's a screening of I Am Trying to Break Your Heart as part of the Heineken Green Synergy Festival, it's upstairs in Anseo on Camden St in Dublin. It's at 7pm this evening and is free in !
  10. Jeff pic here http://www.rte.ie/arts/artsgallery/1225007.html
  11. Wilco were on at 8.15 Saturday night. They seemed relaxed and into the gig. Jeff was wearing a wooly hat that kept slipping down over his eyes which was pretty funny. Then at one point he pulled it down over his face to his chin and played like that for a while. The only complaint is that they only had an hr, it was so brief and Jeff even remarked they hadn't much time for talking. Setlist was something like this- Misunderstood Impossible Germany Shot in the Arm You Are My Face IATTBYH Hummingbird Walken ITMWLY I'm A Wheel I'm probably missing one or two others but that was basically it.
  12. RTE 2FM are broadcasting from Electric Picnic. Wilco are due on at 8.15 Saturday evening. No idea if they're being broadcast but they're on the main stage so they probably will be. http://www.rte.ie/arts/2008/0828/electricpicnic.html
  13. So all we neeed now is a Tweedy solo show added to Electric Picnic !!!!!
  14. Maybe they will play the UK but it wouldnt be the first time a band has just come to Europe to just play Electric Picnic and nowhere else, so I wouldnt hold my breath.
  15. I dont go, just pointing out an article Wilco are mentioned in
  16. Maybe, but Ireland is getting cleaned out of it with ticket prices for many gigs, not just Wilco. Many bands have a whole European tour and keep generally around the same price but when they play Ireland it goes up. The Wilco gigs were def not the worst in terms of this, they are a great established band and played an intimate venue. But many gigs are bands with 1 album and are def not worth the asking price.
  17. The Irish Times ran an article on how Ireland is so expensive for tickets vs the rest of Europe, Wilco in Vicar st were mentioned. "Interestingly, few commenters blamed the acts themselves, although, as Overfriendly Concierge pointed out, they surely know what's going on. "Wilco are charging
  18. This is a scan from last Fridays Irish Times(16th Nov) music/film supplement "The Ticket" which lists Wilco as being the gig of the week and a picture from the show as well. Pretty cool from a paper like the Irish Times
  19. From Jim Carroll's blog, music journalist with the Irish Times- " Wilco live are majestic. Nay-sayers, take a hike. People who saw them elsewhere on this tour and went
  20. Cool, so did you find out anything interesting from the guys ? Like what's that intro music they arrive onstage to ?
  21. Also not my video either, but a good one from night 1
  22. I think somebody was shouting puke for me Jewff at the solo gig in Vicar St last year as well, what a tool. The Irish Times picked Wilco as gig of the past week in yesterdays edition and has a pic of Jeff, will try scan it later.
  23. Great to hear Kamera, Company in My Back and Theologians, Impossible Germany was amazing again, was also cool to hear On and On and On. The guy in the balcony who Jeff gave the finger to shouted "I am trying to break your VW", was def a bit of a tool but Jeff seemed to be laughing about it. They seemed to be in great form, jumping about and posing, the guys were throwing soft toys at Glenn again, there seemed to be a box of them brought out just for that. It was def 2 of the best gigs i've ever been to. I was hoping it wouldnt be the same as London where they played similar sets but the
