Yeah actually Impossible Germany was awesome, i've heard a good few of the bootlegs and it sounded different to even the recent one. Nels crazy intro to the main solo with Jeff and Pat was way longer and amazing. Red Eyed also blended into I Got You.

Just back from an amazing gig! Dont have the setlist but they opened with Sunken Treasure and then played Remember the Mountain Bed which was great. Other not so regular songs included Muzzle of Bees and best of all Pot Kettle Black. Jeff seemed in great form and told about how he went on the Bloom walk in Dublin today. A friend of mine met him shopping in Tower Records last Monday, so they've been here all week it seems. During Spiders and HMD Nels and Mikael were throwing soft toys and stuff at Glenn and at the end Pat was throwing his maracas into the air and catching them. Nels guit

So are people meeting before the gig ?
-
Supports are Laura Isibor on Wednesday and Ollie Cole on Thursday
-
Still no word on support ?
-
Back onsale right now !

Pot Kettle Black and Kamera would be awesome. But I need Misunderstood for my girlfriend who i'm dragging along, as it's her favourite song. But generally the setlists lately are great as they're mixing in old songs and a few suprises.

Yeah usually openers at most gigs, if they brought somebody with them then great, they might be worth seeing but if not then it'l be left to the promoter and god knows who it'l be or if they're any good. Bands usually take the stage at 9 in Ireland so presume Wilco will be the same, although if theres no support they might be on earlier, but I doubt it.

Yeah in Vicar St there normally aren't tables on the ground floor which is cool, and yes the seated tickets are the balcony. Wednesday i'm standing and Thursday I'm seated in balcony at very left of the stage so through both nights i'l get a good overall view. But there's no bad views in this place since it's so small. Its amazing Wilco are lpaying a venue like this If you have seated tickets theres very little chance of getting downstairs but you never know. I'd advise eating before the gig, afterwards there's only chippers open at that time in the middle of the week. As food goes it depe

I shall be there for both Nights but currently i'm workin right up till I go so I dunno about meeting up at this point, but i'l let you know. I have a ticketmaster contact so i'l prob know straight away if Thursday goes back onsale (it has once or twice already). If it does i'l post here but def well worth your while to check ticketmaster.ie at random intervals, there'l also be touts at the venue, fortunatley/unfortunatley there always are in Ireland. Does anybody know who's supporting yet ?

I have no idea, I dont know any tapers in Ireland, and I dont know how to do it myself even though i'l be there both nights. The Tweedy solo gig was taped so if that was, I hope this will be too, especially since it's the last 2 nights of the tour this year.

True, but it went back onsale twice already, But even then, 14th isnt sold out and in Dublin they advertise every large and tiny gig with posters and ads in newspapers, even the sold out gigs, so just a bit odd
-
I also saw them watching Andrew Bird, which was cool. Incidently with just over a week to go I have still yet to see a poster for the Dublin gigs or promotion of any kind about here, which is odd considering it isn't sold out.

Seen Iron and Wine in the Ambassador last Saturday night in Dublin and they are awesome, I highly recommend seeing them if you can

Seems to have been no laert from Ticketmaster or Wilco sites. I too am Block D, row A for 2nd night !
-
Got em! Standing 1st night, seated for the second, they're
-
Yeah its an awesome venue, smaller than where they've played before in Ireland, i guess thats why its 2nights, theres also nowhere in the place with a bad view,. Prob pics and stuff of it on the net, i know it has its own site, google Vicar Street I guess, its a place that usually has small gigs and comedians
-
Vicar Street in Ireland where they're doin 2nights is very small. Capacity is 1000 and its a really nice venue. Tweedys solo gig was there in November.
-
Have it from pretty good source Wilco are playing Vicar St in Dublin on 14th and 15th November, not confirmed so may not be definite but.....
-
It seems Edmonton is Sbs enhanced. So how do the rest of us in Ireland/UK listen to it since our copies are missing the enhanced content ?
-
Well its between Olympia, Vicar St and Ambassador. Prob/hopefully Olympia or Vicar St. They've played Olympia and Ambassador before and Tweedys solo gig last yr was in Vicar St.
