I was big into bands like Priest, Maiden, and Sabbath in the early 80s, so I found this film to be a funny and entertaining flashback. The actual documentary is only 15 minutes, so there's lots of extras to fill out the disc, some pretty good ones too. As you were an 80s metal concert-goer, this is one you definitely need to check out.

Were 80s metal concerts really like this? It's been so long that I've repressed the memory I guess.

Judas Priest - Hell Bent for Leather Watching "Heavy Metal Parking Lot" last night has sent me into metal flashback mode. Pretty sure I haven't listened to this one since the 80s. It was one of my favorite Priest records, should be interesting to see if it still holds up.

For the sound, I still love vinyl best. Nevertheless I mainly buy CDs at a store. Like Aman and a few others here, I don't have an iPod. The only time I listen to MP3s is when I want to check something out before buying.

Tina is a great bass player. Not an all-time favorite, but in my top 50. Other favorites include: Bootsy Collins, Charles Mingus, Larry Graham, James Jamerson, Paul McCartney...

Van Morrison Astral Weeks live in Hollywood
GtrPlyr replied to remphish1's topic in Someone Else's Song
I could see that being included with a deluxe edition of Astral Weeks. The Morrison remastered & expanded CDs have been coming pretty frequently over the past year. There's only a few not on the release schedule, Astral Weeks and Moondance being two of them. I imagine they'll be pulling out all the stops for those 2 records. -

It sounds good . I pretty much have every Kinks record on CD already, so I may pass unless there's something extraordinary about the collection.
