  1. Thanks for posting that. I'm a big Smith fan so I will be checking that out when it's out here.
  2. These are some of my favorites so far: Paul Westerberg - 49:00 Silver Jews - Lookout Mountain, Lookout Sea Alejandro Escovedo - Real Animal The Hold Steady - Stay Positive The Tallest Man on Earth - Shallow Grave Aimee Mann - @#%&*! Smilers Sigur R
  3. At that speed it actually sounds like buzzing bees. I love how the action on the guitar is so low that the strings are touching the frets. Of course the dude is also playing an 8-string guitar . Al Di Meola and Yngwie have some competition indeed.
  4. Small Faces - There Are But Four Small Faces
  5. As a fairly lo-tech guy I can assure you that this is actually very intuitive and easy to use, especially when compared to the digital workstations everyone seems to be using these days. I can't do cut and pastes on it like you can in digital, but I kinda like that it forces you to do things in whole takes. Plus the analog sound is always nice .
  6. The 4-track on the cover looks like a smaller version of my Tascam 8-track.
  7. Possibly my favorite Harry Nilsson record. Mind you, I love most of them up to Pussy Cats.
  8. I have this on DVD but I'm pretty sure it's transfered from Laser Disc. It's not much as far as documentary films go, but the music segments make it a worthwhile trip.
  9. I don't care much for the production on that record, but there's some great songs on it like that one. It sounds even better live. NP:
  10. We were standing Standing by peaceful waters...
  11. That one and the other AMC show Mad Men are 2 of my current favorites .
