Guilty as charged. And what kind of fan-person would you be?

I appreciate the info. I only own the digital version of A.M., and therefore had no clue Lloyd contributed to that album. I own the actual physical CD of Anodyne and not knowing/remembering Maines was on there is just plain foolish on my part.

Educate this ignorant Wilco "fan" please.

I'd say they're my favorites. Keith's work on countless Neil albums is so underrated. He brings Harvest Moon to another level with his pedal steel. I also think Brighter Than Creation's Dark is not 1/2 the album it is without Neff's gorgeous, atmospheric pedal steel. He's also awesome on Decoration Day ("My Sweet Annette" benefits tremendously from his subtle touches) and makes The Star Room Boys go. Lloyd Maines is pretty good too. He does an excellent job as part of The Lost Gonzo Band.

A couple that I haven't seen posted yet - Mick Taylor and Jason Isbell. Two pedal steel guitarists that deserve some props are Ben Keith and John Neff.

Haven't heard it yet, but Paste called it "Ohio" meets "Like a Hurricane." Sounds pretty tasty to me.
