I'm trying to make an R.E.M. best of. I've never been a huge fan of R.E.M., so I'm not sure where to start. But I'm in one of those "need new music" phases and I figured I'd start with good ol' rem.

Yes, I'm a huge fan of the Big Muff (giggity). I used to own one, but have no clue what happened to it. I also really love the RAT pedal. I use it in both of my bands, never leaves the pedal board.

Yes BIG Yes Yes. My favorites: Joey Santiago - Any Pixies album My all time favorite rhythm tone would be the guitar on Weezer's Blue album. It has such a huge/fat sound. I tried for years to match that sound. I later found out that they used a rare Mesa Boogie amp that isn't made anymore.

I agree with this statement. Same deal with any of the sport stars who have fucked up their lives. Michael Vick, etc... The simple fact is that some people are just dumb asses.

The thread police will be all over this one. I know there are atleast 3 threads about this. I haven't heard anything new, other than it's supposed to be released Spring or early Summer. The band has been pretty quiet about it. And who the heck is PJ?

I don't know about food etc, but on your way to to the park, the first time you go by a clearing and you can see the Canyon, trust me your jaw will drop.. You have no idea how large/vast/grand the canyon really is until you actually see it. If you aren't afraid of flying, I would highly recommend a Helicopter tour.. Awesome! Oh yeah, and this wasn't there when I went.. Looks scary as hell if you are afraid of heights.

I'll second this statement. I saw them with Bennett in 1997 and yes, it was an amazing show; one that I will never forget, but their current lineup is about as close to perfect as one band can get.

Reasons why Wilco shouldn't bring back Jay Bennett: 1. He's not Nels Cline BUT, very interesting article anway.. The writer makes some good points. Especially: I can agree with this. The last time I heard Nels try to pull off that style, it was kind of weak. Yes, he's still Nels and he made it work, but it wasn't even in the same ball park as Jay.

Yep, and that girl is the daughter of a friend of my Dad. I actually have some pictures that were taken of Phelps and the girl drinking at a Bar in Columbia... Could they be worth money too? He looks pretty drunk.. They are pretty innocent pictures actually.. But still, just shows that he's not afraid to get his picture taken no matter where he is or what he's doing.

The refs seemed to favor the Steelers in this game. Throughout the whole game, they analyzed everything, going back to replay for 2, 3, 4 minutes to make sure they got the call right. Then, with Warner's throw, I don't think it was a fumble, they took all of about 2 seconds to decide it was a fumble???? Did not understand that at all.. Seems like they were just ready to get the game over with.
