  1. I just want a tour... For the last several years I have feared that I would never get to see Phish live.. Well, I just might get to now.. Please tour.. Pretty please..
  2. You forgot "I'm hot, stickty sweet.. from my head (backup vocal shout: HEAD!) to my feet yeah" Fact: 80's hair rock is making a comeback!
  3. Exactly! The kid wants it to be public.. It's not creepy at all. It is a good blog too by the way. He mentioned how he wanted to fill in for Glen at a Wilco gig, and get a tenth of his salary so he could buy himself birthday presents. He did actually get to play "The Late Greats" at the Garden with Wilco. I'm sure that was very cool for him.
  4. Yes.. Amazing stuff. I've been listening to him almost a year now.. Totally fell in love with the album on first listen... I was fortunate enough to see him open for Wilco in Charleston. I remember the sound being so clear, and band was incredibly tight. Yeah, some people don't get Justin but that's cool.. I think I'll listen right now too.
  5. Thanks! PM me if you know of any places that would let us play. I don't have many connections in that area (I'm used to only playing frat parties etc. with my other band.)
  6. Wow! Pickett's charge is probably the most famous and interesting engagement of the war. I have studied it pretty extensively. Very cool caliber! Now THAT is very cool.. The 1st Texas was said to be the toughest regiment.. They were elite troops of the Confederate Army. Thanks for sharing guys.
  7. Great thanks guys. It's tough for me to get to the music store before they close during the week, but I should have a chance during my x-mas vacation and I'll take it in. Thanks again!
  8. Wow, also very interesting. He even has his own wiki site.. Very cool Moe.
  9. Well he is right in a lot of ways.. As hard as it is to realize that my Dad could lose his job because of the failing auto industry, it needs to happen... There does need to be a lot of restructuring.. Just like how we can't always depend on Mommy and Daddy to come bail us out when we grow up.. If they did, we would never learn anything...
  10. Very awesome. Thanks for sharing. You are indeed a "Son of Confederate Veteran"
  11. Very, very cool Mr. Smith. I'd love to see a pic of that rifle. Also for those interested, the guy that invented your rifle: Ambrose Burnside's distinctive style of facial hair is now known as sideburns, derived from his last name. You'll see why below:
  12. Well I'm sure your great-grandma was telling the truth.. That's very interesting. My family is all from Missouri (a Union state during the war) so it's also possible I have a relative. It would just be cool to find out for sure.. I do know for sure that my great, great, great, great Grandfather knew Jesse James.. He was actually almost killed by him because he beat him in a horse race (one for money of course).. If Jesse killed him, well there probably wouldn't be a Lamrod.. True story, that's been passed down..
  13. Did you really have a confirmed Civil War veteran in your family? I been wanting to do some research to find out if I had one.
  14. I found this interesting link. It's an actual Confederate Civil War veteran demonstrating the infamous "Rebel Yell." www.26nc.org/History/Rebel-Yell/rebel-yell.html Also, upon request from another forum (remember, I'm a total civil war, history geek) I multiplied the sound, adjusted pitches etc. to make it sound like 200 Rebels.. So you can hear what it might have sounded like during the Civil War.. Kind of cool. http://www.blackbeardstruck.com/200_Rebels.mp3
  15. I'll add it to my Netflix queue right now.
  16. My father is a purchasing manager for Bosch. They supply car parts, primarily brake systems to all of the car companies.. They are getting two weeks off for Christmas (it's always been one week in the past).. They are also cutting back the hours on the assemly line workers. And the big one, they are offering every employee voluntary severance packages. He said that this is just the beginning and soon they are going to cut jobs and salary... There has been a 42% drop in production.. Not looking good for my pops..
  17. Nope, never seen it.. He just annoys me.. He's not a very good actor overall, and it seems like he tries too hard.. But that's my opinion.. I know lots of people who like him, including the misses.
  18. Exactly, well said. And I just figured out the cool spoiler thingy, so I just edited my previous post.. Sorry if I spoiled it for anyone already.
  19. I enjoyed it.. It wasn't earth shattering, but it was good.. It kept me entertained. I didn't like how Ledger was awesome of course.. And yes, Christian's fake, deep, batman voice was just annoying... Since when did Batman take up smoking a pack of Lucky Strikes every day...
  20. Yeah not found of Shia.. In fact I dislike him almost as much Colin Farrell..
  21. Yeah me too.. Yeah.. I was just joking with you cryptique.... ha ha ha.... Actually I'm a total moron and for a minute I thought that was really you...
  22. Restaurant insider? Are you a chef or something?
  23. Thanks! I'm glad you like. So far we've received lots of positive feedback, so that makes me happy. Anyone else want to listen, http://myspace.com/socalledstar There's my shameless self promotion for the day..... Also, I've never heard of Doves, so I'm intrigued that we've been compared to them.. I'll have to check em out now.
  24. I just tried and since the guitar is black, and you can barely see the crack, so its not showing up in the picture. I've tried to demonstrate in this picture below. It's a very thin crack.. Not sure if this has anything to do with the problem, but I'm sure it's not exactly good for it..
