  1. Mine too! Samuel Smith makes several great beers. Their Nut Brown is to die for, as well.
  2. Bon was amazing opening for Wilco back in August. The sound was so clear, there was so much emotion in their faces.. Everyone sang (even the drummer)... Amazing performance, and I can't wait for the new stuff!
  3. I still can't believe he was only 61... But Rock N Roll is hard on the body..
  4. Yes, the Search Nazi's will get you every time!
  5. Yeah, it'll be there. I have several song books, and they are the way to go if you want to play it just like the artist. Well, almost like the artist.. It's impossible to completely re-create a guitarists playing style.. Especially Nels. I'd like to get the book just to learn "Please be Patient with Me".. The finger picking on that song is sick.
  6. I saw Watt in Los Angeles a few years ago open for Frank Black. Of course it was an amazing show. His bass was so freakin loud, I thought my ears were going to bleed.
  7. He would have been taking "golden showers" either way. He hates McCain too.
  8. So much for Obama's vision of uniting the country.
  9. I know, I was halfway kidding... The way I feel about it now is that what's done is done. Regardless if I like him or not, he's our President now and I hope he does what is right for this great country. As long as the mail still comes, and there is bread and milk at the stores, I think we are all going to be ok.
  10. I'll have to tell my grandkids that I voted for the old white guy.. But they'll understand why when they see all the damage done to this country in the next four years. Now THATS an awful post.
  11. One thing is for sure, he's not afraid of sound.
  12. Very well said. And that's also great advice for a songwriter like myself. I find myself trying to write songs that sound different or complicated, but I need to try and be more straight forward. But I'm really loving the Wilco tune. I hope we atleast get a B-side out of it.
  13. I'll be Johnny Cash. Pretty easy costume to construct, and I have the black acoustic guitar to go with it.
  14. True.. But when Clemson hasn't had a losing season since 98, you just expect more. Again, I predict the GameCocks will beat Clemson this year. If there is any year they can do it, this is the year.
  15. It's a badass song. You really think it will only be a ''one time deal'? That would be unfortunate..
  16. I agree. Just as they did for "The Thanks I Get" on Conan long before the release of SBS, they will play something new.
  17. Wilco - Charleston - August 7th - Front row, left center. I was so close that I could hear the natural acoustics of the guitars.
  18. I've given up on my Clemson Tigers. They may very well lose the rest of their games. They have already lost all of the games they were predicted to win.. For a team that was ranked no. 9 in the pre-season to be 3-4.. Pretty sad.. And how about Maryland being ranked 25th? First time since 06.
  19. You're exactly right. I just didn't want this to turn into a "girls gone wild" thread or something.
  20. Wedding parties are some of the best. Not fun to play at as a band (we try to avoid them, but some of them just pay too damn well.. ).. My wedding reception was pretty kick ass. All of my friends from high school were there. I wore Orange Chuck Taylors with my tux. I got trashed off of champagne and jumped in the pool.... along with my wallet with a couple thousand $ of wedding money.. Good times.. Good times..
  21. Not yet, but there probably will be in the near future. I was a Ghost Buster. I had a blow-up Proton Pack and everything. Our bass player was George Micheal.
  22. My band played at this really high-class, swanky Halloween party over the weekend. Check out the beer cooler: Scary Mummy guy that would shake and moan when you grabbed a beer: A freaking Creature from the Black Lagoon ice sculpture. Cool!
