  1. I would have to disagree. Although Joe's solo work is great, it is missing three key elements: Topper Headon, Paul Simonon, and Mick Jones.
  2. Man, a US tour would be glorious.
  3. Crazy indeed. I mean.. It's The Clash...
  4. Mostly outside, but sometimes we'll play a place called "The Coop", or "The Loose Cockaboose".
  5. Most are frats/sorority's but for some of them, they are just huge tailgate parties that people throw and they hire a band. Gotta love Southern College Football.
  6. Hey watch me fall, are you going to any of the Gamecock games this year? My band is playing several tailgate parties this year. If you're going, you could check us out. There will be plenty of free beer thats for sure..
  7. Just imagine if Clemson had The Old Ball Coach.... I'll trade you for Tommy.
  8. Even though I saw Wilco at a Minor-League Baseball park in Greenville, SC in 1996, I didn't become a huge fan until about three years ago. I mostly listened to random songs from all of their albums at first. I think the first song that really caught my ear was "Passenger Side". The first full CD I bought was YHF. Then Summerteeth shortly after, then AM, then AGIB, Being there.. I was sort of listening to all of them at the same time. To this day I don't know why I wasn't hooked after seeing them in 96 (they were amazing, and blew all of the other bands off of the stage).. But again, I a
  9. That has to be it.. But yeah, no kidding about CJ. James Davis actually gave up a chance to go to the NFL last year because he had so much faith in his team. I'm sure he's kicking himself in the ass now. They have only played one game but the way they looked Saturday, my local little league team could have beaten them.
  10. It's a shame that a team with so much talent has to be coached by an incompetent moron like Tommy. If his name wasn't Bowden, he never would have lasted this long.
  11. Yeah, I'd say this is the only negative with my house. It's not that far of a drive from my work (18 miles) but it's down a main rd with lots of stop lights.. Not very happy about that, but that's literally the only thing wrong. Everything else, house, location, school district, neighborhood is perfect. So in a nutshell, don't let one negative keep you from buying the house. It's not going to be perfect.
  12. I'm staying in the same area (Greenville, SC). It's a nice house that's kind of half in the country/half in the city. Great location. It was built in 2006 so everything is still new.. Were very excited, just ready for all of the paperwork BS to be over. Give us the damn keys already.
  13. Make sure to have plenty of cigarettes on hand if you are a smoker, and plenty of beer in the fridge if you are a drinker. I'm buying a house right now. We close Thursday, and it's been VERY stressful. All the advice above is great. I'll just add this: Start stashing away as much money as you can. For our mortgage broker, it started with one number we would need for closing/down payment, and it has gone up, and up, and up again. Good luck.
  14. Happy birthday Jeff. Hope its a good one!

    I'll second that.

Once again, you're right on the money Analog. To be honest, it's hard for me to dislike anything Wilco puts out because Jeff Tweedy just writes incredible music. Yeah some songs/albums are better than others, but even Wilcos worst songs are better than most bands best songs.
  17. Yeah, it looks like its filtered to only work in the states.. I've also searched other video sites and I haven't found it. Sorry, my non-American friends.
  18. The part where Bill first starts singing gets me every time.
  19. David Cross is the man. Did you ever watch Mr. Show? Brilliant.

I like Jeff's guitar playing too, but I like NC's a lot more. I think Jeff blows Nels away when it comes to his acoustic finger picking style, but Nels is a much better lead player. And I think Nels does amazing things with the old songs.. It's my opinion of course, but I think you'll be in the minority on that one.
  21. Yes, I remember we rented it for our kids once and they eventually lost interest while I was glued to the TV the whole time.
  22. So did anyone else see Clone Wars? I took my kids to see it and they LOVED it.. But for me, it was pretty good.. very kid oriented.
  23. Lip-sync rendition of Ray Charles' classic, "Night Time Is The Right Time," featuring the whole Huxtable family.
