  1. I always have luck with presale tickets, but not this one. If anyone here got tickets in the first 10 rows, please say so (so we losers today can rest assured it just was not our lucky day, instead of the first 10 rows being held back from sale.)
  2. agree ... and would put Down With Wilco at the top because of "The Town That Lost Its Groove Supply" And of course "Family Gardener."
  3. bump - this starts in 15 minutes
  4. I totally agree with you, Matt. I have heard someone shout that at a Son Volt show before, so it's probably some jackass who wants it on the audience recording. Hilarious! And I read that thread at JF.net - later on in the thread, someone clarifies that Jay did not flip the guy off, but the guy flipped off Jay as they walked off the stage and Jay raised his had as if to say "WTF dude?" And I find it hard to imagine JF feels the need to stick up for anyone's integrity except his own band's integrity which is compromised by "fans" during a performance who can't get over the drama. I
  5. Yes! 6. Hey, no worries, bcart12! We know you were well intentioned here. OK. Back to the show review! I particularly loved Blasting Fonda. ... and Pecan Pie!
  7. Thanks, Mike. Okay, I did a little merging of threads here. Here's what was said by JT recently: Feb 7, 2009 - "The new album is 68% finished." Feb 14, 2009 - "The new album will be released June-ish." ... that's all I know, other than the fact that he is playing some new songs at his solo gigs, so checking the "After the Show" thread might give some insight into what MIGHT be on the new album. Or this thread: All Current New Songs thread It's still kinda early to learn the details, and if I recall correctly, that's how they handled the last 2 releases, not much info unti
  8. Well, he must have moved them from the 1-2-3 light to dark (or dark to light, now I can't recall) after he asked what we thought of them! That's pretty funny. Oh, and now that I see Morgan's photos, he definitely moved them to put the palest Breedlove in the center. Nice pix everybody!
  9. To Caliber, who I am a big fan of !!!
  10. I'm wondering which guitar I carried in? I'll just pretend it was the prewar Martin. It was a Breedlove case that broke, though, I remember Jeff saying that much. When Jeff finished setting up his guitars in the stands on our "stage" in front of the fireplace, he looked at them with a discerning eye, and at the last minute switched one with another, and then asked us how they looked ... he had lined them up according to wood color, light to dark.
  11. He's a busy guy on Feb 17th ... Live acoustic on NPR from WNYC studios. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.p...cc=asc-20090212
  12. He paid homage to the songs Jeff wrote. The songs did not lend themselves to this kind of experimentation. He mentioned this exact thing on his website when SBS was released, and also about how satisfied he was with his contributions to the songs.
  13. Is the blue cave the acoustic one? I can never remember. If it is ... ...
  14. Very nice ... thanks for posting! It's not too often I feel compelled to listen to more from somebody randomly posting a "listen to me" on VC, but I went to your MySpace page and listened more ... I like!
  15. No, he said it was 68% done. See, this is how rumors get started. Jeff was just being funny and random and pulled that number out of his head. Don't take it too seriously.
  16. You want a Nudie suit? Or Manuel? Here you go. http://wearitoutmanuel.com/store/index.php
  17. No, I don't think he's gonna go all Jim James on us anytime soon. It is a t-shirt sent to Jeff from Matt Kelley of One Lucky Guitar, with a City of Fort Wayne seal/"Rock N Roll" emblem on the front. Which is why he plays dead in this photo, I think we've probably killed him with the concept by now. Already done, I've got them and will deliver them to you.
  18. Yes! The extras were left on the poster table, so I brought them home. No worries, there's plenty. Heather, I'll bring one this weekend for you!
  19. Oh, her charms were so cool ... said "LRS 09" on them and, bless her heart, Jamie was so under the weather but luckily had a nice couch to snuggle up in during the show.
  20. I think so too! I love them both, but this one by my friend Matt Kelley's Fort Wayne ad agency is really special IMO. He's the guy trying (and succeeding!) to bring better live music to Fort Wayne. They do real good work and are musicians too.
