  1. Yeah, I guess I shouldn't have responded to your post. You feel better now? Okay good. Sorry I was so unreasonable in my statements. In fact, that MSG show was 1-1/2 years ago and I never showed that clip it to anyone here UNTIL TODAY. So much for my "bragging" about this. I only brought it out to show Jeff being the "lead singer without a guitar" guy you were talking about. I love how he puts his foot up on the stage speaker like a rock star And to set the record straight, I'm a pretty nice person and my life doesn't revolve around Wilco, although Monday night was really speci
  2. Froggy, dude - we're talking live Wilco shows here. You poor thing, we've just got to get you a live Wilco show soon.
  3. I don't believe he has ever sang Hummingbird live WITH a guitar. Was this your first live Wilco show? He sang sans-guitar for a good deal of the post-midnight Madison Square Garden NYE extravaganza ... check out this rock star in his PJ's singing Judas Priest's "Livin After Midnight." I took this from my seat next to the stage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOot0oeRIkc Edit: All Wilco material (not just my little fan-video) on youtube has been reported and removed by ??? So here's a still picture from that same event: Really? That's not a put down? Kind of sounds like
  4. I would have loved to have had a talk with Susan, but she always was talking to someone. However, I was told later on, after she and Jeff left, that she was thinking she was the oldest at the show, but nope - I win. I turned 50 this past October 18th (on the same day that I saw Paul McCartney in Chicago ) PS: Great pix of the desert table - Brianne, your baklava was out of this world!
  5. I'm still in awe of this evening. I had never met Jeff before, so this was momentous for me. I cannot thank enough Sooz and Sam for hosting this event, Mart, Dave, and Chandler for the rousing pre- and post-show entertainment (I had NO IDEA! they were so talented!) , and the rest of the crowd for their tasty food offerings and for welcoming us newbies into their group for this year's event. And to Jeff and Sue, the generous gift of your time and talents by making 3 events possible is the true gift to the Letters For Santa program by starting the ball rolling in the first place. Whoever ca
  6. Thanks for the review The lips are fun to see. My first Lips show was so amazing and astounding. The second time was less amazing and astounding. Still good, but ... I think you can over-do just about anything. Remphish, you go to a lot of shows. I used to get this amazing rush of excitement when I would walk into a venue and see the stage, with all the seats and lights etc ... Now, maybe 100+ shows later, I just feel like this ... So I'm scaling back, being more choosy because I would like this ... ... to return.
  7. that's not good. I hope he's okay. I remember being a bit worried about him when he fell last May at the Vic.
  8. I hope you feel better soon. I'm sorry you're feeling crappy - I'm sure it's from all this trouble you're going through to get things working again for us all. Thank you, Solace, for your dedication. Please don't tell me you missed a concert for this.
  9. Hey Erin - more points owed here ... At this show, I believe both Jen AND I were closer to the stage than bbop ... ... I'm pretty sure that's him holding a beer in his hand in the first section of the lower balcony. Jen and I were in row 2 at the red X, just missed the shot. I, too, am filled with joy about that! http://www.zerostudio.net/wilcoAUD1105/ Zoran Orlic's site
