I was just thinking today how cool it is to watch my girls watch and extremely enjoy some of the same movies I watched "back in the day". I don't mean like classic Disney ones but like ones we watched above the age of 10 or so. My girls ABSOLUTELY LUV in order: Uncle Buck Ferris Bueller's Day Off The Princess Bride I get a kick out of when they rewind certain scenes and fall on the floor laughing. In 'Uncle Buck' they rewind and re-enact the going to sleep scene where Buck's niece and nephew are all over the place in the bed and on the floor with him. During 'Ferris' my oldest cracks her

So my 10 yr old daughter has the latest Jeff Kinney book the "Do-It-Yourself" one while she's waiting his 3rd edition to 'A Wimpy Kid'. Today she asks me how old I was when my father died. I told her I was 11. I asked "Why?". She informed me how there's a part in the book where it asks you if you could go back in time where would you go. She wrote "to my Mom's childhood to give her father the medicine he needed so he wouldn't die"... I was completely overwhelmed and speechless.

Oh but I'm severely allergic and if I want to go hang w/ the Prez and the Wilcos that just won't work

My girls asked me if we lived in Chicago would we be in Grant Park right now. I said "Of course!". They were happy but sad. I wish we were there too.

Jeff called me once (and Glenn) and I ended up on the streets of New Haven, CT crying on my knees. True story.
