I'll take you up on that beautiful brew AFTER I sleep but I'll take the hug now

Btw, the goodness of this thread reminds me of all the things I loved about discovering this board in the 1st place! It's going to be a really rough week in my parts so this is a welcome lift to the week!!!

The b/f has been waiting for this so we'll be out there.

And now... my youngest had her friends over for her 10th birthday party last night. They were playing Littlest Pet Shop and I heard one of them say (speaking for the pet, of course) "Well, I lost my house 'cuz it got foreclosed on!" I almost fell off the couch!!! -
Me too girlie! We'd be chillin' on the deck, watchin' Sunken Treasure and listening to animals in the woods...ahhh the life!!!
-
Agreed I try and explain this to non-Wilco "believers" but they just don't get it!
-
I was just saying like you I have NOT played it not assuming why you haven't. My apologies if my statement came across wrong.

Exactly why I have both and like Louie I have never played the vinyl. Actually, it's even still in the box it came in 17 months ago. I take it out and look at it but I don't dare to open it.

Same... *sigh*

Okay, well I did find a third one but in the past there have been quite a few people not so pleased by this song. But I do see what you mean by how it seemed a bigger issue than it really was in that thread.

In the beginning We closed our eyes Whenever we kissed We were surprised To find so much inside Definitely one of the best Wilco lyrics...EVER I shake my head every time I see someone writing something negative. So please enlighten us Lovers of Pieholden...what is it that you don't like?!?

Happy Birthday to a great man! P.S. My oldest daughter had to do an assignment a couple of weeks ago for her 6th grade Social Studies class and it was all about 'Imagine'. I was very happy and proud.

I have to say I would take ENTOURAGE any day over this CRAP!!!' Seriously, I had high hopes, VERY high hopes because of most of what I've read here and the fact that my best friend is hooked. But omg...seriously?!? This is awful. A friend of mine DVR'd it for me. So we watched some of the wang/V episode...I was laughing at the ridiculousness going on. I'm a HUGE fan of 'Twilight' so maybe I'm biased but a vampire going to a BAR TO ORDER A BOTTLE OF BLOOD?!? Good Lord!!! Seriously, we had to shut it off. I really had hoped for more. Oh well, I'll stick w/ the written word instead... *sigh*

OMG and with "the song"...

I just wanted to share my joy with you all in knowing how many people I've touched with my love for Wilco and admiration of Jeff. As most of you know, Wilco is coming to Central MA to open for Neil Young in December. Apparently, there have been local commercials running for the show. Every since they have started just about everywhere I go someone comes up to me and says "Hey Ellen, I saw a commercial for YOUR band/Wilco/that group!" It warms my heart kind of like when you are proud of an accomplishment made by a child. It may sound silly, goofy or whatever but I am really proud of the guy

Inquiring minds WANT TO KNOW...

They've actually been playing it for almost a year now. That and taking one of my younger friends (who works at Friendly's) to a show in June 2007 helped turn him into a fan. He went to the festival in August in CA this year

Well, that's a bummer

I just found it funny that it was spelled wrong in THIS thread but I know, I know people do it ALL THE TIME...*sigh* WTG Wayne!!!

My maternal grandparents were like my other set of parents growing up. My brother and I were lucky (and maybe spoiled in a way) because all of our other cousins lived all around the world so we got our grandparents all to ourselves. They were the everything to me. They taught me plenty, shared much and loved me probably more than I loved them tho I would never admit it aloud Almost all of my fondest childhood memories include them. I would and still do gush to people about them. And back in the day I would do whatever I could to make sure my friends got to meet them. Luckily, they only
