101 here in Central MA and it's suppose to be hotter tomorrow. We have a town-wide outdoor ceremony planned tomorrow evening for our Girl Scouts. I was the first to put in a vote for moving it inside to our "rain location". We'll see what the powers-that-be decide...

What's the price of gas where you are?
Wilco Worshipper replied to Twisted Acres's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
So I did it...I paid OVER $4.00 today. This is WHY... The really nice station with the decent prices has been holding steady for the better part of a week at $3.95/gal. Their first big surprise was capping everyone at $50 per purchase. That was last week. I go there tonight after work and they only have PREMIUM available at $4.15. So with that I pulled out and headed back up to the mega-dynasty (Mobil) and paid $4.01. I know it's not as bad as some parts of the country right now but when you're FORCED to go to the "big guys"...it rots. -

Sounds more reasonable when you put it that way And thank you (sincerely). I was telling friends at dinner tonight about this thread and how I responded. I was hoping you didn't bite my head off while I was gone.

No offense, but I hate THAT phrase...it's like the latest "thing". And no matter what, that's just wrong. A contract CAN be broken by the people who actually made it if they had heart enough (in this case) to do it.

Now that's a DAMN shame no matter what the charity!!!

Funny thing...I just checked out a clip on youtube regarding something about blue & pink that a friend was talking about and NOW I get what YOU were talking about

Nope, not crazy. Just the IDEA of expired deli meat makes me queasy. As far as milk, I am notorious for buying new milk before the old even expires. My kids always ask me why there's still an open gallon and I'm starting a new one. Paranoid, I guess. Meds I usually throw out, especially if it's for the girls.

Thanks for the wishes guys and gals! It actually wasn't that great a day as I've been sick for four days But I'm on the mend now and the party is tomorrow anyway, so all shall be good

What's the price of gas where you are?

Our restaurant was WICKED busy this weekend!!! VERY unusual for the holiday, I mean RIDICULOUS busy. Guess it's better to spend money on a meal than all that gas to go somewhere else to eat out/cook -
Lumbar Epidural Injection
Wilco Worshipper replied to Wilco Worshipper's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Well, Jen, I certainly don't envy your situation. I hope you're doing better now. My primary care physician put me on vicodin which didn't seem to help. Then he put me on lyrica but that made me loopy. So I went back on the vicodin but with more ibuprofen. Like I wrote before, I'm on 4 (5-500) vicodin a day with 400 mg of ibuprofen each time. My Pain Mgmt doctor from the Spine Center is sending me for an MRI. So I'll have that on the 3rd, meet with him on the 9th and then have the Lumbar on the 11th if indeed he decides that is the correct way to go. My original doctor didn't send me a -

Lumbar Epidural Injection
Wilco Worshipper replied to Wilco Worshipper's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Very true! I take 4 vicodin a day along with 400 mgs of ibuprofen each time and it feels like it doesn't do a THING! But I guess it would be much worse without. I'm just thankful I work with a bunch of very understanding people. I work doubles every Friday and Saturday which makes for very long, painful days. But like Pocahontas said...what can you do, right?!? -
I don't know her. My children do and in a limited way. She works with their step-grandmother.

Lumbar Epidural Injection
Wilco Worshipper replied to Wilco Worshipper's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Poppy - Thanks! Jen - After my doctor was finished talking to me today and looked over everything and had me attempt a few things, he knew without the MRI that it IS sciatic. I have all the "classic" symptoms. He IS ordering an MRI before the Lumbar happens. We did schedule it for now. It is easier to cancel than schedule. We are meeting again two days before the Lumbar to MAKE SURE this is the proper step. MB - Thanks! Hope your wife finds relief soon as well!!! And thank you. -
So apparently I'm having one of these done in three weeks. I am quite nervous and VERY scared. I am well aware a lot people both here and in my own life have gone though much worse. But beyond having two children and a small cyst removed, this is all I've experienced. I'm fine with shots and stuff, well not really but I get through it. I guess this probably scares me more since it's going right into my spine. It's for a sciatic issue that I have been dealing with (and in severe, severe pain from) for over a year now. I just finally got health insurance again in January. I started on vicod

Come on, I just mean she clearly she can't really handle multi-tasking and doesn't have that great a memory whether working or not. I mean making other people wait in a store while she interrogated me was a little selfish, dontcha think?!?

Well, we get $2.70 an hour. We add 15, 18 or 20% to parties over 8. Next menu change we're bringing it down to parties of 6. Unfortunately, this family only had 5 people.
