  1. seeing WILCO in my hometown in Germany. that's more I've ever expected or could imagine... ++ getting a reply to my song request from jeff, and getting the request too - - getting no reply from the taper, and even no tape from this show
  2. Yeah, in the meantime I've created the Dresden Show by myself. With some new (from june 07) and some old stuff, and I've snipped it together... It's funny but it's a fake. But hey, I've posted my question few weeks ago at the forum of etree.org, and got no replies yet...
  3. Nobody can do this. But if you're looking for anwers you got to choose the right question on http://flac.sourceforge.net/faq.html It'll work fine
  4. What the hell ...??? "When in Shelburne, do as the Shelburnes do!" I can't imagine a please-remain-seated-show, not kind of any music (esp. with guitars). But the last few weeks I've noticed the unusual, I should better say; unfamiliar habits of enjoying Wilco-shows in your country. Okay all the venues are marvellous, they're much better to work out some great pics, perfect for an awesome ambience, and all the stuff, but hey... I still love rock'n'roll. And what could I do with .Shake It Off. or .Spiders. if I'm well seated?
  5. To me she looks like Milla Jovovich.(There are only two or seven pics worldwide online from Kristen McNemany) To me she looks like Milla Jovovich.(There are only two or seven pics worldwide online from Kristen McNemany)
  6. Did you enjoy the metamorphosis? I hope so, and thank you for the .Sunken Treasure. share...
  7. Wow, I had the last one of them. (and it starts with .Sunken Treasure. too, great opening...) But it seems to me, Warsaw was a very special mixture of a dozen of my favourites from .Ashes Of American Flags. to .Outta Mind (Outtasite). Yeah, the 2nd encore starts with . I Hate It Here. and then ... if I think about much longer I fall apart and break into pieces.
  8. Great job. Thanks a lot... such a great encore-set. I'm always in love with.
  9. Okay, l learn something new... But I am not superstitious, and if the VC's are... too bad! So, then I need a little help from Harry Potter or the Witches of Eastwick... or better I'll go and find the taper by myself. Anyway, Thanks a lot, but I wonder why the presence of .Poor Places. .Reservations. and .Spiders (Kidsmoke). especially in that order couldn't break the curse of that -lol- (in Dresden started and restarted) .Why Would You Wanna Live. Yeah, it could be the best cure or my little ill to go back to the place where it started...
  10. No problem. patience is my nickname. p.s. in the meantime I enjoy The Ryman Auditorium 2002
  11. While I type this words I listen for the eighthundredandtwentieth time the Stuttgart show (28th of may). Today is the 29th of june, four weeks (3 days) ago the taper-guy was asking to my question, where I can get this and when, few weeks on db.etree. okay, I thought, give 'm time to come home, to fix the car and feed the cat... Is there any good reason to skip one of 5 shows? Is the cat gone, jumped in the washmachine Yeah, could be Dresden is not so attractive to seed it? I do need nothing else from this show, (because I got all in my heart) but the 2nd encore. (got it in my heart too),
  12. While I type this words I listen for the sevenhundredandfiveteenth time the stuttgart show (28th of may). Today is the 26th of june, four weeks ago the taper-guy was asking to my question, where can I get this and when, few weeks on db.etree. okay, I thought, give'm time to come home, to wash the laundry and feed the cat... But hey, where is it? Is there any good reason to skip one of 5 shows? Is the cat gone, jumped in the washmachine Yeah, Dresden was "das Tal der Ahnungslosen", for over fourty years, I know. I do need nothing else from this show, but the 2nd encore. Because Jeff said to
  13. Weighty words. And beautiful words. I love that snap-shots metaphor. It reminds me that moment when that girl comes over and asks me, 'Are you the guy with the california-stars-request? Yes you are, by the way, thanks for the request and here, take this! You deserve it..." Then she gave me a backstage-pass... What a night.
  14. I'm not Paul, but I've seen that monster. It was coming down the stage, with measured steps, looking out to take a huge bite of everyone... great chords, big lights, and you can see the kicks they get out of it onstage, pure fun seriously it shakes you really off, I remember it very well in a strange way, because there was a guy next to me (first row) he was always busy on his cellphone, taking pictures, but missing the whole show, but probably he's got some nice pics, and a girl was standing on the other side, only seesawing her left toe all night long, gosh, ... I had a really workout o
  15. Was there a Wilco concert anytime without any Chicago-natives, I wonder... And who have claims of what? Every-one, no-one? The guys who have the loudest hollers? It's a good question, and it could be the reason those lines in .What light. ... And if the whole world’s singing your songs And all of your paintings have been hung Just remember what was yours is everyone’s from now on ...
  16. Yes, this is called bottleneck. Because the guitarists in the earlier days haven't any stuff like that to buy. So they've used bottlenecks.
  17. hey pivoboy, have we drunk some pivo together??? After the show at the Blue Note??? Anyway, you got right, Mr. -bbop- Cheeztastic, what Vonnegut called .Slaughterhouse no 5. is appr. at the same point, but on the other side of the river, the area .Messe Dresden. former an area of some slaughterhouses. I think about the conversation between one american to another one, just right in front of the stage: there wasn't any ugly americans in the audience. It seems to me, as a german fan, it's a funny running gag from the side of audience. Just like "Jeff, I love you..." or "...Thanks for comin
  18. Calee--four--nee-a Starss Regards from the Impossible Germany, It was the third time in 10 years I saw WILCO in Germany and once again it was an exiting night. And even though it’s true that Berlin maybe rocks more than other places here in Germany, especially the sweet little village of Dresden (Nels wasn’t lying on stage, but playing like the six-strings-god-himself and Jeff wasn’t so talky like the night before, because most of the time he was scolding to some lovely americans) – No, I never wouldn’t miss that evening. I still can’t believe it… last night Jeff picked up some stars
