  1. Have Tarrytown single; Need Bowery single. Can anyone work out a trade? please PM and let me know. thanks Dave
  2. my point is that the unreleased tracks are not junk filler to round out extra discs, nor are the videos stuff that collectors have had for years even if in degraded quality. there is also a full playing of Darkness by the current E Street lineup without an audience that will give us dynamic versions of how the songs have evolved over the past 30+ years without the intrusion of audience. Very cool approach if you ask me. As for it being the best remaster package, I'm willing to hear of others but not sure I can be convinced. And yes, I say this without having the Darkness set in my hands y
  3. while more expensive than the BTR set, its a much fuller offering. you can get the full 6 disc package (which as you saw includes amongst other things, a full new double album of unreleased and "real" songs as well as a full video of a Houston Darkness tour show that did not previously circulate) for about $96 bucks here. or you can even just buy the new double album, "The Promise" for about $17 bucks here so you have a couple of options. at the risk of hyperbole, its the best repackage of a remastered album by anyone that I can think of. period.
  4. Have 3 philly extras. Will be at show. Please PM if interested. thanks dave
  5. I think I will have 2 extras. Please PM if you are still interested. I will be at show. dave

  7. Have 2 Wellmont (either night), Need 2 Philly. Please PM if you can help. Thanks Dave
  8. Have a single ticket for Hartford 4/9/10. Orchestra Section D, row Z, aisle seat. face plus charges ($48 total). Please PM if interested. Thanks Dave
  9. It was a great night and while the encores were a little clean up for the casual fans and a bit disappointing, the main set was largely for long time hardcore fans. Bruce was clearly thrilled with how the album came off. So many highlights but none more than a note perfect transcendent rendition of NYC Serenade. Oh, and by the way, I have saying for year's that Jeff should take a stab at Wild Billy's for his solo shows. Its made for him.
  10. can someone give us the what time on stage and what time off stage info? thanks dave
  11. While lists in general are just conversation fodder, count how many (and which) songs this guy thinks are better than "Pilgrimage" (their best song). The nausea starts with Finest Worksong, which blows. By the time I get to the World Leader Pretends of this list, its time to projectile vomit. This could almost be called the top 20 most randomly selected REM songs.
  12. Need a good pair or single for Ann Arbor. Please PM if you can help. Thanks so much Dave
  13. Have a an extra pair on the field for Wappinger's 7/18. Please PM if interested. Thanks Dave
  14. Many times, but my favorite was hearing "Terry Reid" at Schoolkids Records in Ann Arbor circa 1986. Awesome stuff if you are not familiar. http://www.amazon.com/Terry-Reid/dp/B00004OCPT/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1245633737&sr=8-13

Chris Cimino catches the band regularly. I have seen him at several shows making him by far the coolest weatherman since Al Sleet.
  16. Since the rest of the universe appears to have received and digested the DVD, let me just ask for a simple reminder next time not to pre-order. I must have ordered this thing months ago. As much as I appreciate all the extras that came along with the package, I'm still not sure what the benefit is to pre-order anything. Even the Dead, who manage to misplace enough orders and release live shows recorded at the wrong speed on occasion, get the pre-orders out before the stores start selling them. Oh well, I have the audio tracks to keep me occupied for now. That is all.
  17. if so, Jeff is waaay down in the mix
  18. unreal setlist so far. any idea why no soundboard sourced feed?
  19. Amen, Amen, Amen. I couldn't agree with you or this entry any more. Fraud is the perfect description and so many were duped. Here are my comments from a post last year discussing the brilliant Murmur reissue and other assorted issues. "While I have enjoyed this thread (and would add Chronic Town right along side Murmur, Reckoning, Fables, to any list of what they did best), we should be clear. Accelerate blows. Its fake rock by a band that has long since lost its way. They need to hang 'em up before they do any further damage to their ever dwindling reputation. I mean seriously, did anyone
  20. Danko=heartbreaking. How about when he is listening to his song "Sip The Wine" in the studio next to Scorcese and just lowers his head seemingly overcome by his own song? Mesmerizing.
  21. Have a pair in row H. Please pm or email if interested. thanks dave
  22. my thoughts are that I'd love to get a matrix copy of this show. anyone?
  23. you really need to hear the Van/Roger Waters version on the Departed Soundtrack. Its the way the song should be done and the most interesting thing Van had done in a long long time until this Astral Weeks thing. I have been bitching about Van and his hideously short/indifferent/unsatisfying shows for years but it looks like playing Astral has moved him to a better place (at least momentarily)
  24. Here is a real sweet offering from the good ole grateful dead. One of the most underrated shows in the catalog containing one of the 2 or 3 greatest "Sugarees". http://www.dead.net/features/release-info/...?cmpid=terrapin
  25. 8 shows in 9 nights??? not sure about this.
