I like the dancing on this one, but his cover of Gloria on youtube almost made me cry!

So I guess you don't want me to mention that I'm seeing The Black Keys at Stubb's the next night.

Anyone going to ACL or the Stubbs show in a couple of weeks? I'll be at Stubbs!

What an showman!! Saw him twice at The Dallas Convention Center in the early eighties. At one of the shows, Steve Vai was showered with glass after a "fan" threw a bottle into the lights above. Frank abruptly stopped the show and demanded for the audience to point out who did it. They didn't give up the guilty party and he then threatened to stop the show for good if there was anymore trouble. Although there is certainly no comparison when it comes to Frank and Dweezil, the ZPZ show I caught in Vegas was a fitting tribute and was a damn good time!! Great to hear those songs again live.

Geez!! Finally!!! I'd would have rather poked my eye out with a sharp stick!

I think the way things turned out is just fine. I love the music of Waylon Jennings! That's not to say that I don't like Buddy. I actually prefer his music over Waylon, but could he have contributed anything more to music than he already had? The answer lies in the artists that do survive. They typically shine bright and then struggle to even match their best output, let alone put out something better. Great topic!!!

Still waiting to finalize this thing!

The Black Keys new album - "Brothers"

You're welcome! That was some kinda Rock Show, although Brian Olive was a little disappointing. The Keys more than made up for it. A real facemelter!! -
Conor is somehow able to capture the fancy of beautiful young women. At the Oakland MoF show, Mr Oberst certainly got a lot of attention. I mean girls were almost in tears! If you're not at least able to discuss his career, you may find one day that you wish you were a little more familiar with his material!

I bought Brothers and the new Dead Weather. Sorry Jack, but your record just doesn't measure up to the quality The Black Keys are producing. In fact, it's safe for me to say that Brothers is the best record I've heard so far this year. -
The Loft - Dallas. The new material is terrific live! Had a nice chat with Toby downstairs and requested Die, die, die for a buddy, but there was no room for it in this powerhouse set. Better than the show at Lola's last year.

Just a few hours until showtime......

Really enjoying the new record and looking forward to seeing them live on Friday in Dallas!

Seriously considering going to Kansas City to see them at The Crossroads. Any opinions about KC or the venue would be greatly appreciated. -
Whaaa??? Now, where did I put that 12 pack Lone Star Whoop-ass? You know it has 50% more than most cans!

I don't remember. Some forum about removing adhesive goo. Wasn't a guitar site. Ranged anywhere from goo gone, goo off, lighter fluid, and even peanut butter. Some chemistry guy posted that vaseline would break goo down and damn if he wasn't spot on! I was afraid to use chemicals. Let me just say that it was amazing to see it come right off without any struggle whatsoever!! Better living through Chemistry!
