  3. The show tues night was really tight. I was impressed by his ability to command attention - a true showman. I found a link for his performance at SXSW, which sounded essentially like what I heard the night before. http://m.npr.org/story/134532123?url=/2011/03/17/134532123/sxsw-2011-raphael-saadiq-live-in-concert&ft=1&f=1039 enjoy

  8. I'm shocked that Inception has so much attention. I wasn't impressed by it at all even though I liked Following and Memento. I enjoyed Black Swan and thought Natalie Portman was stellar. As was Jeff Bridges in True Grit!
  9. I listened to OK Computer, The Bends and King Of Limbs today. The Bends all the way!!!
  10. Really like Lotus Flower, so I thought I'd give the entire record a listen. Fell dead-ass asleep somewhere around song 3!

  12. Although Dallas was not on the first leg of the proposed 1980 Led Zeppelin US tour, I was prepared to travel to see them. I had 11th row for Clapton, who cancelled due to "illness". My oldest brother promised to take me to The New Barbarians. Let's just say that it didn't work out...
  13. Sadly, I never attended a single Texxas Jam between 1978 and 1981
  14. Mr Tweedy - "What would your response be if a longtime Wilco fan said that the goup's most recent releases were disappointing and that you should return to a production along the lines of YHF in order to recapture the Wilco sound?" Mr Cline - "Expecting a flood?"
  15. WTA sounds like Wico and I'm fine with that! I don't think it's disappointing at all.
  16. you're welcome - gonna be a great show! Hailey's after?
  17. absolutely! The guitarwork and vocals on their debut are exceptional. Think I'll spin that vinyl today...
  18. By far, the loudest band I've ever heard! .... and I was at the very back of the venue.
  19. I remember having tickets to the Stubb's show during ACL when my buddy called me to tell me they cancelled! Luckily, I had seen them before during the tour for Elephant and although I'm saddened by the news that they are done, it really comes as no surprise.
