    Two Questions

    1. After many attempts by my buddy, Wilco finally took hold of me in 2006. 2. Sept 17, 2007 ACL taping for PBS.
  5. no kidding I would disagree and think Abbey Road is fine the way it is. Glad he's such a big fan though... Wonder what Dale would think of a Wilco/Kinks mix. Village Green/Muswell Hillbillies era, of course!
  6. Just listened from NPR. I liked it! Nothing like Evil Urges, although I liked that one too. To me, just another solid record from a very good band! Nice flow from one song to the next, never felt the urge to skip ahead.
  7. Allow me to clarfy that Nels would be hard to outshine on a guitar solo and although if it were serious, Pat wouldn't stand a chance. In the spirit of fun, Jeff could step inbetween the two and rattle off an extended solo to end it all (just to show them whose signing the paychecks)! All in good fun! A few windmills and maybe even have an egg whisk on hand!! At least that's the way it works in my mind!!
  8. One of these days, Jeff should bust into the shredfest during Hoodoo Voodoo and facemelt Nels and Pat!!
  9. From the moment Wilco took the stage, everyone on the lower level stood up and remained that way the entire show. The venue was just the right size with plenty of room up front to gather around the "rock n roll petting zoo" (a small fenced area that I assumed was for equipment used for lectures). 14. Just one song really..... It's A Dream - Neil Young it's one that both reminds me of my brother who died in 1979 and my father who lost his battle with Alzheimer's 5 years ago. I cry every time I hear it.
  15. I thought it was Paul that broke up The Beatles....... but I understand it's easier to just blame Yoko!
  16. The Yes Album and Fragile are superb records that I have enjoyed for many years. They really pulled it all together for those two.
  17. Sukiyaki Kyu Sakamoto The lyrics tell the story of a man who looks up and whistles while he is walking so that his tears won't fall. The verses of the song describe his memories and feelings. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtXQ31F1A-k
