Happy Day!!!

Thanks to everyone!!!! Surgery went well. One plate w/ 5 screws - pretty standard stuff. We are getting the back bedroom ready since she'll probably be discharged tomorrow. Again, I appreciate all the well wishes. Thanks

79 year old mom broke her ankle today - surgery tomorrow. She fell trying to get ready to go to the dentist for an abcess tooth. Complicating matters further, she has neuropathy in both legs. Luckily, the arterial doppler studies came back ok and she didn't hurt anything else during the fall. I work for the surgeon that is doing the case, so I'm not sure if I can assist (since it's my family member). I'm sure she will need to stay with us afterwards to recover.

Aerosmith was head and shoulders above most of the rock bands in the 70s. The releases after Live Bootleg started a decline that lasted until MTV and Run DMC came alomg. Then came the fluffier stuff, which never really captured their former spirit. Toys In The Attic was their greatest achievement, and such.

Concerts for the People of Kampuchea was a series of concerts featuring Queen, The Clash, The Pretenders, The Who, Elvis Costello, Wings, and many more artists which took place at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, England during December 1979 to raise money for the victims of war-torn Cambodia. The event was organized by Paul McCartney and Kurt Waldheim, and it involved older artists such as McCartney and The Who as well as younger new wave acts like The Clash and the Pretenders. The last of the concerts was the last concert of Wings. Elvis Costello & The Attractions - The Imposte
