  1. In the science lab at college, I was leaning over the microscope gazing at clusters of bacteria. The lab tech (a girl) came by and double poked my ribcage to "goose" me. Needless to say, she got assaulted.

  5. His performances on the MTV VMAs were terrific. I was talking to a buddy about him yesterday. I'm glad he survived, but this is horrendous.

  8. Just a comment about pain pills. Although a reasonable request in some instances, asking for things like dilaudid could cause your physician to suddenly become suspicious. Probably better to first ask what they routinely give to control pain and how much pain you're expected to have postoperatively. (Blood on the Wall, Deerhoof, Dylan, Neil) Lyrics aren't as important as melody, imo so sometimes months and even years later, I'm like "ok that's what that song is about?" - all to everyone's amusement. Oddly enough, i also enjoy jazz and will purr in resonse to the sound of a buttery saxaphone so
  12. yes, pretty common. so is waking up a little combative. If something weird occurs, they should give you a letter to pass on to any future healthcare providers. Especially if you were a difficult intubation. This is something you don't want to be, but if you've had a cervical (neck) fusion or jaw problems and can't open your mouth much, I would tell the anesthesia provider.
  13. Paul McCartney - Revolution Robert Plant - Whole Lotta Love
  14. Yes, I understand that some don't refrain from posting "anything and everything".
  15. Having worked in the operating room over the last 18 yrs, I've come to the conclusion that 98% of the general population look better with their clothes on! As far as stories I have, most of the outlandish ones would be inappropriate to post.
