did you know that cows around the world face north? this is according to cnn.com the other day.
-
i'm going to need more evidence than this.

i just saw two non-white zombies while bush was gushing.

many of those questions are deeply disturbing, and remain unanswered as yet. that bothers me, a lot, as a human being and as an american.
-
ok. i'm not trying to talk you out of your opinion, i just thought that 8 minutes of reading dozens of links and also writing a post didn't seem like a lot of time to read and think about it. you're right that the dems ran a lousy candidate, though he was ahead in most polls, for whatever those are worth.
-
i know what you mean. that attitude is almost more frightening than the things that are happening here.
-
i don't want to pile on here, i've been cranky enough tonight, but tracy posted those links at 6:52 and by 7:00 you've been reading them and had time to write this post? it will probably take more time to assess them, don't you think? just a suggestion.

it looks like one of those guys in "fargo," which scares me.

i don't think kwall is looking for facts. he's looking for entertainment. pure. and. simple. i agree with you on your reading of those facts, cccharlie, and on your opinion of them.

"never"? hardly. p.s. i'm not a liberal, but you are a pigeon-holer. i find those unhelpful to "debate," point for point or otherwise.
-
i'm still waiting for you to branch out.
-
what do you think? your style is hilarious. sit back and let other people stick their necks out, and now and then try to stick a little pin in one of someone else's sentences. no guts.

yes, i think he is! that colbert, he's so magical.

there's a long list of shady operations among oil companies. Look It Up. basically today's military-industrial complex is its own indictment.

the media and others focusing on palin's private family life will hand the election to mccain on a silver platter. this will be a picnic for him if people keep the ticket on the defensive for irrelevant reasons. leave her private life alone, and all the wrong reasons for her being chosen by mccain will float up to the surface on their own.

you labeled the right-leaning broadcast correctly. but the others, left-leaning? give me a break. considering how much every single one of them whitewashes or, more important, omits about the bush administration's shenanigans and those of others associated with them, "left-leaning" is a major stretch. in fact it's laughable to those of us who actually are left-leaning. those mainstream networks are centrists at best, with no substance, most of them bowing to the wishes of the few corporations that own them, who happen to be bigtime backers of right-wingers and are absolutely dedicate

i hope your birthday is a great one, tracy -- H H B!

of course not. but many republicans give obama zero credit for NOT attacking with dirt, both during the primaries and now, when he could have done so hundreds of times and over countless issues. he has done way more to keep it clean and not hit below the belt than i've seen in many years. that's some meaningful (to me) change right there, and he's not even in office. yet.

no.

i would absolutely do that, except no one i know has admitted to liking it ever since i expressed my scorn.

louieb, try to look past that stuff in your friend, especially because there is always this sort of hope: i consider myself somewhere in the big gray area left of today's democrat, and my best friend of 18 years was a right-winger. we had maybe ten political discussions in all those years, and they changed nothing and only hurt (although she did always try to be patient when we'd get in my car, the radio would announce something stupid the bush administration had said or done, and i'd yell "those fucking idiots!"). well, last february she left her right-winger husband of twenty years, and

it will be more than interesting if the right gets upset about people criticizing palin's family life, a private matter. they would be all over a democrat's v.p. nominee if that v.p. choice were, for example, gay -- also a private matter. can you imagine the uproar? i think the criticism of palin's family life is nonsense, and so is the notion that she's a bad mother for taking a time-consuming job when she has X number of children. what is this, 1951? the only appropriate thing to criticize would be if she failed to inform mccain of her unmarried daughter's pregnancy. it sounds li
