  1. i saw earle a few months ago and dug it i'm not in love with his new stuff but it's not terrible
  2. i walked out of golden smog may be the only show i left early marah opened and absolutely killed golden smog came out and was afraid to play when they did, they blew and i like golden smog but that was pitiful i did fall asleep at a Suzanne Vega show once
  3. seems a lot of banter once they got into the 1980s was pretty bitter toward the audience kind of weird they seemed to have a lot of contempt for some segments of their following by the mid-1980s
  4. astounding son volt show in philly tonight farrar has never sounded better band was tremendous not in love with the never-changing set list but overall awesome stuff
  5. saw genesis 20 or so times (and brand x once, big robin lumley fan) and, yeah, collins was a phenomenal drummer but also at one point he really was an incredible singer listen to phil sing afterglow circa the 1978-1980 tours

  8. journey was actually incredible once upon a time long before steve perry joined, they were basically a group of santana sidemen (greg rolie, aynsley dunbar, etc.) i saw them twice during this period and they were phenomenal then perry joined and they spiraled downhill but for a while there, they were a hell of a band
  9. yeah, to me Cuba and The RCA Album -- the two records with Bob Rupe -- were phenomenal then Walter forgot how to write good songs and that was it but those two records, Cuba, especially are stunning

  15. ya know, i have vista and while i actually don't mind it, it does seem to take up huge amounts of RAM apparently, there are a dozens of needless functions that are built into vista that use up vast amounts of resources. i'm a total tech moron and have been reading up on this stuff trying to figure it out supposedly, there are ways to deactivate or shut down these operations but i haven't figured out how yet. and i ain't messing with my registry so that really helped, didn't it?
