  1. What the hell is going on.
  2. Time to brush up in anticipation of the new season.... edit: the picture is large to emphasize the awesomeness.
  3. I just watched Once and cried like a baby at the end.
  4. That's good, but Andies, Reza's, and Taste of Lebanon are all better. Close the Riv, too! Oh, and you can get snacks at the Middle East Bakery if you hit Andersonville. And let's not forget Hopleaf!
  5. It is, and they've added sushi to the menu (about which the owner is very proud.) Louie, Siam Noodle and Tank Noodle are my two favorite restaurants! Lemme know if a noodle outing actually happens, I'm going to all 5 shows and live right by Loyola.
  6. I've watched some clips on youtube and that's pretty much how my friends treat each other. I think I'll like it.
  7. I bet this video of a Pink Floyd spider-pig event was better.
  8. I've heard good things about It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Can anyone confirm/deny?
  9. No kidding. I miss The Office so much, and to make things worse there's only gonna be half a season of Lost. What a tease.
  10. I get chills thinking about that!! Soooooooo excited!!
  11. There are definite pacing issues with season 3. I was disappointed nearly every week. However, the last 2/3 of the season is some of the best of the series. The finale is mind-blowing. And now they've plotted out that there are 48 remaining episodes, so the show should be back on track. And yes, Heroes season 2 did blow, but Tim Kring actually apologized for that. And then the writers strike hit so the season got cut short anyway.
  12. Fox canceled AD, then there was talk of a few different cable networks picking it up, but in the end either the producer or writer (I forget who) decided he didn't want to do it anymore and that was the end of that. I haven't watched Pushing Daisies. Have you tried the American version of The Office? The first season (which is only 6 episodes) is similar to the BBC version plot-wise, but starting in the second season the show really comes into its own. I love it. And if I can convince you to move away from comedies, I can't say enough about Lost, Heroes season 1, and Battlestar Galactica.
  13. Brilliant!! Seconded. I like F&G so much more than Undeclared, although that series grew on me a bit by the end. I was genuinely sad to reach the last episode of F&G though. Highly recommended. Also, 5 episodes into Flight of the Conchords and really liking it!
  14. That's like a 2 min walk from my place! If I weren't so obsessed with Thai food and pho I'd be there all the time.
  15. Ethiopian Diamond? You scoop up the food with flat bread made from lentils. Add it to the list?
  16. Wilmington, NC in late March! Maybe Tennessee this summer. Florida some time in the Fall. And lots of random trips to Michigan: M-I Glad To See You!!
  17. Don't hesitate to PM me or write more questions on here!! And Red should be the line that gets you to most of what you need -- it runs north/south and hugs the lake, Mag Mile, etc.
  18. Happy happy happy happy birthday!!!!!!!!!!! If I still had your number I would send you a birthday text from a stranger....
  19. For everyone who will be relying on the CTA to get them around town while they're here for shows, there's a couple links you should check out. Virtual El navigator is great for checking out what stuff is around each station, to help you plan where to stay, eat, drink, etc etc. (fyi: the Riv is off the Lawrence red line stop and the Vic is at Belmont red/brown/purple.) I would also recommend a CTA visitor pass, which is a huge cost-saver against the current $2/ride cash rate. It comes in 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7 day increments for a flat rate and allows unlimited rides.
  20. Happyyyyyyy birthdaaaaaayyyy!!! Thanks for making me laugh every day!!!!!!
