He's due for a monster game, the meatball SOB.

I bet seeing someone steal home (in person) would be right up there with an inside the park HR in terms of exciting plays. Last year at a Nats game I saw neither of these, but I did see some dude in the mezzanine level take a foul ball right off his dome while he was carrying a couple of beers and drop like a stone. Pretty exciting in a "christ I think that guy just got killed" kinda way. He was alright, but when he finally got up he had stitch marks on his head (a la Gerry Cheevers).

On Friday I got two tickets in the mail for a Rockies/Padres game in San Diego this July. I wonder if they'll play Sox games on the jumbotron upon request...

OMG Galileo called and wanted me to tell you the northeastern part of the US isn't the center of the universe! LOL (ur a pud)!

Rear center orchestra, NN. I forget where I sat for Elvis Costello a couple of years ago, but these are roughly the same I think. There are really no bad seats in there though.

Me and the old lady now have a total of 4 tickets for the two of us (2 inside, 2 lawn). I've never been good at math, but I think I have 2 extras now...

Was this week's episode new, or was it really just a bunch of clips from previous episodes (per iTunes' description)? If it was old clips, is there any reason I should watch this? I'd check the regular LOST thread but I'm ascairt of spoilers...

I think there's a small percentage of tickets available for the pre-sale. My wife got us lawn tickets already, but I may try again tomorrow to get seats inside.

The Pernice Brothers, Henny Youngman, Neko Case, Lucero, Phineas and the Ferbtones, William Elliott Whitmore, Drag the River, The Wayouts, a blender on high, etc. You post a list of past opening acts and I'll tell you who is better than Conor Oberst.
-
Enjoying Conor Oberst on my terms will involve a nap and earplugs.

Great idea for a thread!

I didn't even order this DVD and I got a copy in the mail last week. I wonder if I got your copy by mistake?

Interesting enough, you can buy Wilco merch at the PBA Hall of Fame in Milwaukee.

Wolf Trap tickets go on sale next Wed. at 10 am. I, of course, will be at a conference away from a computer.
-
I don't know if this holds true for all shows there, but I remember only being able to order Wolf Trap tickets through the venue/their website. Their site has a message that new shows will be announced on the 20th.

Btw, I'm taking credit for the Wolf Trap show: http://forums.viachicago.org/index.php?sho...st&p=854635

Assuming it is not difficult, I am planning to purchase tickets to the Wolf Trap show.

Wait a minute...that's not A-man.

I saw them a couple of years ago in Richmond and he spent the entire set with his eyes closed, propped up against a wooden post on the side of the stage. And it worked for them. Of course, I couldn't hear him in the mix, so who knows how he was doing but it looked cool. I'm really looking forward to this album. Hopefully they pull off this Stax/Lucero hybrid better than they did the Springsteen/Lucero one.

No, I like to be the insufferable music snob in any relationship.
