O.K., after seeing that video, you NEED to hear EXPLODING HEARTS. They sound just like that, but less-polished. In fact, the song that you posted sounds almost exactly like a more-polished version of this song: Not sure who came first, although I would guess the Exp. Hearts did -- 2004 or so. I'll post another video or 2 as soon as the board lets me. HERE'S ANOTHER VIDEO: Because they won't let me post another one just yet.

Now, THIS movie sound fucking amazing and is my most-anticipated in as long as I can remember: From Rotten Tomatoes:

Always a cause for excitement. Canada's finest power pop band. And, while this new song is not among their best work (IMO), it still sounds good enough to keep me excited for the September 9 release date! And… those GUITARS!!!

Just saw Snowpiercer. And, despite its being a self-conscious "message" movie, within an action film, it worked for me. I dug it. As both an action flick and as a "message" movie. Yeah. Worked.

Polish. With caramelized onions and yellow mustard. On a poppy seed hot dog bun.

If you liked the song, I made it available for free, along with the solo/acoustic version, and "The Key", which I recorded over the winter. http://hoponpop.bandcamp.com/album/one-by-one Just letting you know.

If you dig Parquet Courts, I think that you'll dig this band, too. Chicago kids. Similar style, but with a bit more of a Fall influence. And great guitar playing: https://soundcloud.com/the-thons/thirty-foot-snake?in=the-thons/sets/the-thons-thirty-foot-snake The let you DL all their music for free, too. This one is right up near the top of my 2014 list.
