  1. It's blocked here at work for me, so I am not a user. But my band is on there.
  2. I've had many of my own songs already covered by other (unknown) performers, who did so just because they like the tunes and wanted to have a go at them. Flattering as hell and, it gives me encouragement that maybe there is something to it. Maybe I have a shot? So, at the urging of my family and friends, I am thinking about going into songwriting for other folks; pitching my own songs to established performers that I have already written. Any of y'all do it? Have you had any success? Any tips? I've already put in my first call to an entertainment lawyer/agent who has represented "several s
  3. A friend of mine just left this link on my wall at Facebook. An interesting read, if you are a fan. Even if you are not, it may make you want to take a listen to his music. I think you'll be happy: http://www.afropop.o...ever-his-thing/
  4. I thought of them, but wasn't sure if they would qualify, as Damon really has made that his full-time gig after the breakup of Blur.

And while it is incredibly cool, as I said, and I will listen to it for a long time, it is still not my favorite foray outside of a primary band by a musician that I admire. That would be: THE DUKES OF STRATOSPHEAR The spot-on 60s psych-evoking band that is populated solely by members of XTC. They only had 2 releases: an EP (25 O'Clock) and an LP (Psonic Sunspot), but both of them were every bit as good as anything ever released by their main band -- one of the best b
  7. Could not disagree more. I am damn-near obsessed with this record. Totally love it. Maybe the best of the year. Certainly top 3, at this point.
  8. Top 5 all-time keys player. Rest in peace.
  9. The bass player looks sad that he doesn't have his own special shirt. Of course, he IS the bass player. They always tend to look kinda sad.
