Fresh Air replayed a 1998 interview with him yesterday. Only caught about 1/2 of it, but it was really good.

Listening to this with my 12-year-old son last night and he looks at me with a smile and asks, "Doesn't this just make you wanna dance?!?"

The more that I think about it, the more psyched I am to pick this up.

Thanks. But, I did make my decision and, after consulting with a few folks, including both attorneys and my family, I decided not to sign the release. It appeared that I would have been giving the company what was essentially co-ownership of the song. Meaning that, they could do whatever the hell they wanted to do with it, including farming it out to other artists to be covered, while paying me nothing. I would still be able to do the same, without paying them anything, but they could really do anything they wanted to, short of selling off the song, outright. No thanks. I think that I will,

After talking to my wife, I decided not to sign it, but to search out genuine representation. It's nice when your spouse really believes in you, you know? ("Your songs are just too good to just sign away like that, Todd...") God, I love her.
