  1. And this one, that I couldn't post earlier because of image limitations:
  2. So, the masters should be waiting for me in my work mailbox when I get in tomorrow. Gotta give 'em a listen, put the finishing touches on the booklet (I'm making an electronic booklet available with album DLs), and it should all be done by the go-date. WELL-ENOUGH ALONE EP Hope that some of you check it out. I think that there are a couple of my best-songs on there. Looking forward to getting your feedback.
  3. I've seen him live, once. Honestly, I was disappointed. He was the headliner, sang about 5 or 6 songs and chug-a-lugged two 6-packs of Coca-Cola over a period of 20 minutes, and then left the stage and didn't return. I guess, as with a lot of sensitive personalities, he is wildly inconsistent. Sometimes he'll play for a couple of hours and be brilliant. Guess I just caught him on a bad night. (It was also the first time that he ever played Chicago.)
  4. Looks like it's a reissue of a 2000 album. http://allmusic.com/album/tomorrows-sounds-today-r502321 Just had that pointed out to me at another board. Oops. Still, I'm gonna check it out.
  5. Nope, I don't have it yet. Nor do I have any impressions to give of the thing. I just think that, along with all the Mark Lannegans and Lana Del Reys and other folks that we're talking about, the new Dwight deserves a thread. I'll be picking it up soon, but wanted to make sure that the board was aware of it's release. (I'm sure that many of you were, but a search failed to bring anything up.) Looking forward to getting this one. Looks like Pete's back in the folds!
  6. Just watched (most of) it, and it is, sadly, a bit of a mess. Suppose that is somewhat reflective of the man, himself, but it still makes it a bit difficult to sit through all the way.
  7. While I'm in sick today, I'm gonna see if I can catch this one on Netflix: i loves me some Ian Dury.
  8. Welcome, Bob. However, my favorite Wilco albums are probably Summerteeth and Being There, so you and I are gonna have to have it out, buddy! Oh, and have you heard any Peter Laughner? (Jeff lifted the line "Take the guitar player for a ride" from him. And he is brilliant.)
  9. The main riff/groove of this song: http://hoponpop.bandcamp.com/track/im-pathetic was inspired by "Peg."
  10. Taj Mahal - Natch'l Blues The blues are pretty much a dead genre, IMO. There are only a few albums that I can still listen to. This one is right at the top of the pile. Perfect.
  11. Good to know. Realism was a bit of a disappointment. Looking forward to hearing this one!
  12. When I found this thing, I LITERALLY jumped around the store shouting, "YES! YES!" and holding it over my head. A couple of years ago I lost it in a flood. Motherfucker. Some really great stuff on here, terrible sound quality and all. Early, early versions of these songs. Loved this damn thing. Too bad it's not available on CD. (Although some of it is on the Osmium album. Just not all of it.) Now I need to find it again... in an electronic format.
  13. Saw this last night with my oldest. While I've never been an Elmo fan, watching this has made me appreciate the artistry that Clash puts into his creation. And, you know, I am still a Henson fan. So it was cool to get a little look behind the scenes there. It was well done and if you have 80 minutes to kill you could do a lot worse than this one.
  14. I FINALLY found a copy of this book: Or, I should say, that I finally found it for a decent price. Most places it's been going for >$40 or so. I found a copy at Half Price Books for $8. And it's in good shape. AND it appears to have been autographed by the author. Not bad.
