So... if you think that I add nothing but self-promo, have me banned. I did that as well.

I see your point. I just happened to join the board at a time where I am working on a new album. And that work has been dragged out by circumstances beyond my control. I also love to get feedback on the new things that I am working on. (Or, some might say, I am an attention whore.) Either way, apologies to you who are annoyed with me. I do try to keep my promotion to only the times where I actually have something NEW to share, if that makes a difference. Like I said, the timing has worked so that I have had new stuff every month or so since I've joined. I'm hoping to have this record done in

Their last album (2006's Rockford) was pretty great. So, I was wondering if there was any enthusiasm for this new one. Anyone have it? What do you think?

Did anyone check this? Just curious.

Yes! Although I would consider Belew's career (both solo and with the Bears) to be more "experimental pop" than "prog"; generally long on hooks and lacking many of the classical-type ponderous long-form song structures inherent in so much prog.

I need to explore that oeuvre a bit more. I've never gone deep with Juice, myself. I suppose it's time.

I suppose that Iron Maiden could be considered some sort of prog-metal. And, pretty much one of the best bands ever, at that. Fucking Piece of Mind or Number of the Beast: those are some records!

I suppose you could call that street teaming. Thing is, It's not a hit and run. I'm not going anywhere; I'm here for the long haul. And, I have already contributed to the greater conversation and will continue to do so. I am also just giving away this album... for a band that no longer exists. There is nothing more coming from that group. Just unloading some tunes. But, if you want me to hang my head... okay; touché.

Just arrived in the mail: Getting set to listen now.

It's that these posts really only serve to turn us off to a lot of music that we might be otherwise inclined to check out... and even like, if we found out about it in some other way. There has to be some other way of promoting small bands on the internet that's not such a dick downer.

I like it. A lot. Excellent summertime music, arriving just in time for the very end of summer, huh? Bummer. Pretty much the most pure-pop thing that they've ever done. And that's a good thing. Like The Raspberries with sitars and tablas.

Cash Cow - rBGH http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mjmnqkzzazd RIYL: early Uncle Tupelo, Hüsker Dü, Naked Raygun, Buzzcocks, Replacements (I guess) Recorded with Dave Trumfio and Mike Hagler at KingSize Sound Labs, Chicago (where Wilco recorded a good deal of Summerteeth). Dig in. If you haven't heard my old punk side, it sounds nothing like anything else I've presented to y'all recently. Hope you like it.
