  1. Nashville dobro session musican and elementary school music teacher meet at Show and Tell and wind up making an album together: LINK Sound snippets sound good, too.
  2. In summation: Joking about someone dying is bad. Bitching about somebody joking about somebody dying is bad and hypersensitive. But, everybody does it. Um... both of "it". So, who the hell cares? Oh, and I still have no idea who DJ AM is.

I bought Third the semester that I transferred to a new school, as a senior. Needless to say, it was tough; I was lonely. I think I played "Nighttime" 10 times every day: "Get me out of here Get me out of here I hate it here Get me out of here..." I found my place at the new school, but the album still reverberates with me. And I don't think that it's purely circumstantial. The record is by no means an easy listen, but when you finally GET it, it's one of the most rewarding listens there is. It's the sound of resignation... of a band falling apart. Of a man falling apart. And it's beautiful

  8. I gave it a listen, even thought it is DMB. I am not a fan of the band, but I think the guitar playing is pretty cool. Other than that, just not my thing.

  11. Okay, so it's a Starck Here are some photos that I got off of Google image: This is pretty much exactly what it looks like, although the owner told me that my piano is probably a 1962 or 1963 model and those photos are of a 1969.
  12. I can't access YouTube from this computer. Hopefully I'll have some time to check it out later. I'd love to hear it and give you some feedback.
  13. Yeah, but I got to play this one, first.
  14. (+125 for delivery, over 4 blocks) The thing is in wonderful condition -- not a dead key across the entire keyboard, and the case doesn't have a knick. I bought it just in time, as there were a couple other people interested, included a piano teacher, who expressed her envy. Thing sounded great, too. I've been wanting one for a while, and I don't think that I'm gonna find a better deal than this. It's the kind of thing that I walk into Estate Sales and garage sales hoping to stumble upon. Can't remember the brand off-hand, but it sounds great and plays nicely, too. Ethan will finally have
  15. It's a just a kid from another board that I occasionally frequent. He sent me along this album of his and, lo and behold, it's goddamn good. Just wanted to give him a shout-out for sending this my way. MYSPACE LINK Hope y'all know that I'm not a street teamer. (I think that I've been here long enough that y'all know that I'm not.) I just like to do this for bands that I like and want to share; and that you might otherwise miss out on.

  18. M.O.T.O. The unequivocal masters of the 2-minute pop song are calling it quits. Or so says this source: http://www.obner.org/bb/viewtopic.php?p=801269#801269 Damn.
  19. Oh. Guess not. But this one is: "Here Comes the Weekend" - Nick Lowe or Dave Edmunds, whichever version you like better.
