That song completely messes me up every time I hear it. May be the best song I've heard in the last 10 years (from a strict, songwriting point of view).

You know... you're right. I think it's Martin.

The Boo Radleys - Kingsize Their swansong is also a much better BritPop record than the critics would lead you to believe.

That is catty. I am a geek. But not a snotty geek. (And I already said that Lou knows.) Knowing something is easy enough to do. And, once I tell you (or someone else does), we'll all know anyway. He is a member of one of my favorite bands. I can tell you and I will. I ain't gonna keep it to myself. Just like to see if anyone else shares this part of my musical taste/sense of humor. Or if anyone cares. It's Vivian Stanshall from The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band. He was also the narrator on Mike Odefield's Tubular Bells album. And another member of the Bonzos - Neil Innes - became a satelli

I'd give my left nut to be able to write like Jason. You want to grow up to paint houses like me, a trailer in my yard till you're 23 You want to be old after 42 years, keep dropping the hammer and grinding the gears Well, I used to go out in a Mustang, a 302 Mach One in green. Me and your Mama made you in the back and I sold it to buy her a ring. And I learned not to say much of nothing and I figured you already know but in case you don

LouieB, you are excluded, as I know that you already know. Anyone else: do you know who is pictured in my avatar? Just curious, as he's one of my faves.

In context, smartass. And thank you for what you actually meant. Yeah, the Led Zep one definitely qualifies, IMO.

When it comes to Dylan, that's how I feel about Nashville Skyline.

Define "Underrated". Do you mean just "under-heard" or albums you think are great that the critics have panned or that have had more influence than is being recognized? I mean, the 1970 self-titled debut from Emmitt Rhodes was critically praised, but ain't many folks heard it. But it would certainly qualify under the initial criteria I listed. Also, how many of you here think of Ike Turner as anything more than a wife-beater? He was one of the original architects of rock n' roll, after all. And for albums that are unfairly slagged: Led Zeppelin - In Through the Out Door is a great pop re

You forgot one source: Radio. (I listen to a lot of NPR.)

I know. I can appreciate it. It's just that jumore like that frustrates me. (Which is, of course, the point. I just don't enjoy it.) Felt the same about Seinfeld, too. So... it's been established that I'm a bit of a freak. Whaddya gonna do?

Sorry. Not a Gilbert fan, either. Maybe looking for a CD box set or 2-disc set or something like that, as a fair trade.

Seriously. Drop me a PM if you want me to send you the 1st season "Curb" on DVD. It's in great shape. I just don't like it. Let me know what you have to trade and we'll see if we can set something up. Kosher? Mods, it this okay?

I sing, play guitar, and write songs. Style is all-over-the-map. Need bassist, drummer, keys, banjo, dobro, pedal steel, theremin, horns, reeds, whatever. Multi-instrumentalists are preferred. Not looking to play (many) shows, but I do want to make a record. A very eclectic record. A very weird, very eclectic record. Mods: If this is the wrong forum for this, please move. I don't want to step on any feet. Thanks.
