That last one is Pulco - Innovation In the Trade, something that I found on Bandcamp that I really like a lot. Sounds kinda like an Elephant 6 band, produced by Eno. Or something.

re: Alien Lanes I see. But, for me it was. Literally. Inspired me to not only start recording at home, but also allowing other people to hear those recordings, which led to me getting signed to an indie label, who released 2 albums from my band. So yeah, life changing.

Another big "fuck you" to 2016: Kevin Junior, while not nearly as well known as any of the other musicians whose deaths have been mourned on this board these past couple of weeks, was nonetheless a singular talent. With his bands—The Rosehips and Chamber Strings—he released some of the most-beautiful music of the 90s and early 2000s. He had been in poor health for a while, but just recently, he had put together a new version of Chamber Strings and was actually recording music again. I was really looking forward to a new release. And, by all accounts, he was an incredibly sweet man, as well. R
