Such a huge relief to see this kind of a departure from the know-it-all chef and restraunteur-types who usually populate these shows. This is just a normal guy, reacting to amazing food the same way that you or I would react. "Holy shit this is amazing!" (Only without "shit" because it airs on PBS.)A bit dorky, but still very likable, and some amazing places and amazing-looking food so far. So, WBEZ (Chicago's NPR station), has a feature called "Curious City" where they take listeners' questions about Chicago and the area, and do some good old fashioned investigative journalism to get the answers. Then, they give you the story. This week, they answer MY question -- about something that my dad was always telling me, that Chicago is "the largest Polish city outside of Warsaw." For me, the date just didn't work out for me. I really enjoy the album. A lot of fun silliness between 2 very talented musicians. Yeah, loose is an understatement, but it makes me smile every time I put it on.

The Pawns - Last Things First

Yeah. Listening to Maiden's Live After Death right now, and there is no doubt in my mind that they are HoF-worthy. But I'm guessing that they'll never be in. I mean, 4 decades of consistently high-quality music with NO extended low periods. Maybe one or two albums here or there that weren't quite up to par, but no more than that. So awesome.
