  2. yeah, the ticket cost is a bit much... LZ had their moments live but IMO were never a consistently great live act so i can't imagine this incarnation will be knocking the socks off anybody's ass, not at those prices.
  3. yeah, i can see that... you're really winning me over by telling me to go fuck myself first thing in the a.m. you are a real swell guy. your point.... ? uh, you're a guy with an avatar of a steroid-abusing DH? surely a portion of your 17K+ posts are more insightful than picking some net feud with me? i'm curious if you're able to post any thoughts/comments that aren't some reaction to something i said...
  4. hey, good one! i get it now... you're butt-hurt because i laughed at U2 for being bloated and overhyped.. i do hope you're able to get through the rest of the day. sorry man, R&H sucks and so does the "new" VH. just my 0.02 cents.
  5. "worst lineup ever..." i have zero idea what you're trying to say big papi. just point to the area on the doll where the man touched you... so i'm not allowed to weigh in on something unless it's glowing praise? riiight. sorry if you wasted your hard-earned duckets on this shell of LZ's former self. or VH.
  6. in no particular order: The Clash Grateful Dead Rush Wilco Talking Heads Steely Dan Cocteau Twins KMFDM Steel Pulse Little Feat The Specials English Beat Pixies Bad Brains Frank Zappa King Crimson Pink Floyd Led Zeppelin Yes David Bowie
  7. with or w/o you? still haven't found what i'm looking for? Bono w/ the acoustic guitar draped around his back? these are the songs and moments that make me want to vomit... The Unforgettable Fire was a great U2 album... then i don't know wtf they were trying to be and wasn't the least bit interested again until achtung/zooropa.. probably the most overrated, most bloated and overhyped band in history.
  8. i couldn't be any less interested in this pending trainwreck if i tried.. well, it couldn't be any worse than the current VH wreckage, no?
  9. ah jeez, where to start; i only have exact dates on a few of these... 3/26/85 Roger Waters Radio City Music Hall (pros & cons of hitchhiking tour) phenomenal... oh, and btw, which one's pink? definitely Rog... years later, i'd regret laying out righteous cash for Dry Floyd, which was horrible. 6/28/85 Grateful Dead Hershey, PA i believe the ticket for this show was 13.50 torrential downpour but i loved it. Soundboard source!! http://www.archive.org/details/gd85-06-28....5822.sbeok.shnf 3/31/86 Rush Byrne Arena this one is noteworthy [to me] because Mystic Rhythms and Witch Hunt fro
  10. i attended the RAN show at The Warfield (98?) and all i got was this lousy steve kimmock (t-shirt).
  11. i thought the lossless format was the norm, across the board... other than when i'm listening to .wav format that's already burned to a CDR, i pretty much listen to all my boots in .flac format with Winamp. if you're used to mp3 formats and haven't been spoiled on the high-end audio like i have been then it probably doesn't make a big difference. but i'm all frowns when someone sends me a CDR with mp3s on it. :-( see?
  12. just curious why there's no lossy format protocol... isn't distributing shows in mp3 format a no-no? converting .flac to .wav or .mp3 is simple. i thought trading in lossless formats was the cornerstone of the trading niche.. only time i convert a show to mp3 is when i rip it to my iPod.
  13. Carl Carlson: "i heard it's a gateway drug."
  14. that's some quality similie-ing... i guess Cheech was on the set of nash bridges and had immunity?
  15. wow, one of my favorite topics... i grew up in the Brent Mydland era and only saw one show post-Brent. forget albums and graduate straight to The Kind as this was the quintissential live act. IMO, these are the finest SBDs out there (from the 80s). 3-9-81 Madison Square Garden, NY/NY http://www.archive.org/details/gd81-03-09....4953.sbeok.shnf and here's the downloadable AUD source, one of the best AUD tapes EVER!!! http://www.archive.org/details/gd81-03-09....7473.sbeok.shnf 8-6-82 St. Paul, MN (best LL/supplication ever) http://www.archive.org/details/gd82-08-06....5028.sbeok.shnf
