  1. Single Ladies. I present that without comment. I was just about to post a topic, haha. Here's the text that's up in another tab: Absolutely amazing show tonight. This was my second year attending a Vic fundraiser Tweedy solo shows, first was last year. Jeff had some great interaction with the crowd, at one point taking questions from the audience (like Shellac!), and someone in the balcony asked if he could give Jeff five dollars if he could come down to the stage and strum a G chord. Jeff obliged, and made $5. He also talked about how sometimes it's hard for the audience to tell w
  2. They are on sale at the box office, I picked mine up on Saturday. The guy working there didn't even know that price range went on sale. "Whoa, there are $50 tickets?" I'm super excited! Going on Saturday night.
  3. Woo, arena rock! Oh my god, ending with Monday - Outtasite - Hoodoo - I'm a Wheel...just...wow. So, so, so glad they played Misunderstood. I think that was the top request as of Friday when I requested it. From the floor it seemed like we had a pretty strong Jesus Etc. singalong. Yeah, it was a fairly straightforward setlist (except Just a Kid), but there's really nothing wrong with that, and this is the first time Chicago's heard all of the new songs (except One Wing, I guess, from Lolla last year) I wanna be your kingpin Livin' in...the UIC Pavilion Cannot, cannot, cannot wait for Mond
  4. Heya Brown Eyes Dreaming, I'm going too! Fun times will be had by all! It's important to note that the Pavilion is part of UIC, not University of Chicago. If you get a hotel by University of Chicago, you're going to be a little far away. So, you'll want to stay near the University of Illinois - Chicago (UIC). However, I don't think there are too many hotels in the area (there's one by Ashland and Harrison, which I think is a Radisson, but that's the only one of which I know; that one would be accessible by bus or by walking about four blocks). UIC is right off the Blue Line (the Pavilion is
  5. Ok, after getting two for the Sunday show, I didn't know whether I should get tickets for Monday. The compromise was to get ONE TICKET, so I did. Only for Wilco.
  6. I was able to get two on the floor right when they went on sale. I was logged in and kept refreshing. Total bill came out to $97.50 through Frontgate. That's probably something like $7-$8 less than Ticketmaster would have been. Less than $10 service fee + shipping per ticket doesn't seem that bad after ordering from Ticketmaster so many times.
  7. Man, I wish! Back a few years ago when I was a student there, Kanye West played and they had a student exclusive pre-sale at the box office, but not at a discount. I'd be all over a pre-sale, but I haven't seen anything come over the massmail. If I get anything I'll pass it along to the board. The last big concert they had there was the Killers earlier this year, and I don't remember them doing a student presale for that one. Can't really speak much to the acoustics of the Pavilion; I've only been there for basketball games and commencement. Still super excited!
  8. Jeff mentioned/joked that the new record was going to be named Diver Down, but I'm pretty sure he was just ripping on Van Halen.
  9. Just got back from the show, and had a great time, per usual when I see this band. Ended up being a fantastic show. Yeah, we messed up the clapping on Spiders, and I thought that was kinda lame. I was pretty close to the front, so it's not too surprising that people in my area knew most of the words to the songs. Did anyone out there get a good look at the size of the crowd that was seeing Wilco? I know that fest capacity is 75,000, and I would venture to say that most of the crowd was seeing Rage, but I don't know exactly how much. The standing area in front of the northern-most stage [w
  10. Here are a few from the final night. First is John singing, second is Jeff singing during I'm a Wheel, and the last one is during Less Than You Think.
  11. The best show by the best band, I swear. Everything about this show was absolutely amazing. I didn't go to Saturday or Monday, so it was great to see Andrew Bird and hear John sing [which was awesome; he was tearing up at the end of the song]. The stretch between Can't Stand It and I'm a Wheel in the second half was just non-stop incredible. And, whatever you might think about the song, just watching Less Than You Think was outstanding. I have nothing bad to say about tonight, and there are plenty more accolades to pour on that may sound hyperbolic but actually aren't. I'll probably post some
  12. Would you be willing to sell just one? If not, that's cool, but I would very much like to buy one. Thanks! [email: Brandon.Lee.21@gmail.com]
  13. Hi, if you haven't traded/sold it yet, I shot you an email. -Brandon
  14. Hi Brandon, I just shot you an email. Brandon.Lee.21@gmail.com [yeah, my name is Brandon, too, haha]
