  1. I enjoy A.M. on regular basis, particularly in the summer. A unique item among a catalog of great material. Read Brian Henneman's liner notes on the reissue; it might change your perspective a little bit.
  2. Hilarious. I've been there so many times. Nothing like trying to rock out while the putrid smell of rotten egg farts infiltrates your nostrils like a force of green berets...or brown berets.
  3. Second this. Happened for me earlier in the summer.
  4. Nah, I'm just kiddin'. Henneman's playing is one of the reasons I really, really love A.M.
  5. I'd put it up against any of Brian Henneman's guitar fills on the entire A.M. record.
  6. The organ riff in "Solitaire" is probably the tastiest lick on any Wilco record. Ever.
  7. I'm hoping Bob Egan guests on this one. Maybe some pedal steel on "Jane Smiley" and "Black Moon."
  8. New Madrid in 2008 at The Pageant? http://wilcobase.com/event.php?event_key=1128
  9. I really have tried and don't understand what you're trying to say.
  10. And on that note, what's the deal with "New Madrid," "Gun," "The Long Cut" and "No Sense in Lovin?"
  11. And from which era of Wilco do you want to hear songs played at those concerts? Just curious.
  12. Because so many artists are interested in just catering to hits-hungry audiences and not creating new music. Believe me -- I went to a Jackson Browne concert a few years back and his setlist was essentially his new record played straight in order, track-for-track. I'll admit I was among those wishing for some familiar hits, but at the same time, I tried to put myself in his shoes and understand the desire to create and perform new music rather than singing "Doctor My Eyes" for the 3,769th time.
  13. I'm not sure if they're "embarrassed" about a song or they simply just don't like to play it live as much as other songs.
  14. SBS was the first "new" album for me after I became a fan. I avoided that stream and made my first listen the day the vinyl showed up on my doorstep. Made the experience better. I streamed W(TA) day and night. Made receiving the LP a little less exciting. Save for "I Might" and the very brief appearances of some other tracks from TWL performed live at Solid Sound, I'm not sure I'll give it a listen before its release date...assuming a stream happens.
  15. I also would've liked to have had One True Vine on there, as well as The Thanks I Get and Glad It's Over.
  16. I did not think of it that way. But I have my doubts that it was inspired by that at all. Would seem kind of disrespectful to Jay.
  17. Ok I am changing mine for today's mood. 1. SBS 2. AM 3. W(TA) 4. BT 5. ST 6. AGIB 7. YHF And soon to be #1, TWL.
