  1. Hummingbird is not on The Whole Love.
  2. So far so good. I liked most of Destroyer, but this one's a little different. Straight-up Americana with a tougher edge than Destroyer. Rocks more. Still has that fuzzy-distortion that BT favor so much, more harmonica, piano, and hard-hitting drums. Give it a spin this week at Spinner.
  3. "one sunday morning, one son is gone."
  4. ^^ "Mr. Blue Sky" is a great track. Interesting observation!
  5. Perhaps it'll sound different when the official release comes out. There's no guarantee that the captured stream is the final mix of the record.
  6. Nice work with the outtakes, u2. That's where I was headed next. *** I was last in line / for the one true ride *** I think I've exhausted my SBS puns for the day.
  7. Take our souped-up model to a drag race, and you'll leave your competitors in the dirt and dust. Overthrow your maps with the new built-in GPS system!
  8. And a sunroof/moonroof combo, so you can look at the sky blue sky while you drive!
  9. Me: [points at lamp on inside ceiling of vehicle] What's that light for? Salesman: What Light?
  10. I prefer the vinyl myself. SBS was my first new Wilco record after becoming a fan via ST and KT, then BT + AM, then YHF + AGIB. It was a fun experience to hear the first batch of new material from the band, and I enjoyed most of it. I also associate the record with certain things that were going on in my life, which I why I'll return to it somewhat regularly. Good memories. Everyone connects different albums and songs to different things in their lives. People find their own meaning in music. And there's nothing wrong with that. That being said -- and like it's been said before -- it's just
  11. The Wilco Facebook page posted today that on-sale dates for the recently announced tour dates will be posted this week. Wednesday, I believe.
  12. Pitchfork was, but who gives a hoot about their opinion? Not me.
  13. Beautiful sounds aside, the line "one Sunday morning, one son is gone" makes me weep. My father died a year ago, Sunday, September 12th. This weekend marks one year gone since the worst day of my life, but now I have yet another song that brings me great comfort.
  14. What I've really loved about this record so far is the sheer joy in the music. Good vibes, uplifting melodies and great uptempo tracks. I feel like I'm hearing some tracks by The Beatles that have been locked away.
  15. This album appears to be full of new tracks that I haven't heard before, so I'm not sure how they could be identified as lesser versions of previously recorded songs.
  16. This is random... "Glad It's Over" in a tiny silver jewelry shop in Grand Lake, Colorado.
