That's what I thought! It'd be interesting to hear what kind of production we'd hear from a Jay Bennett approach.

For me, I guess since Wilco only stops by one place that I can easily get to while they're touring, I see them every 2-3 years. And I'm generally just psyched beyond belief to even get to go, with the way tickets are gobbled up by scalpers and re-sellers. But I'm excited to hear the new material live. And I don't mind hearing "Handshake Drugs" or "Jesus, etc." live every few years. The show I'll be attending in December will be even more special to me because it'll be the first time I will be attending a concert with both of my older brothers AND all of our spouses. I turned my oldest brother

Box Full of Letters is just so...routine.

http://www.avclub.co...f-tweedy,62764/ Jeff Tweedy hasn’t experienced much stability during his 21-year career. Starting off with the pioneering alt-country band Uncle Tupelo in the late ’80s, Tweedy has witnessed numerous inter-band conflicts, record-label shakeups, and his own personal struggles with addiction and anxiety. Perhaps that’s why Tweedy, unlike much of the music world lately, isn’t that interested in memorializing the ’90s music scene. For Tweedy and Wilco, there’s no time like the present; ever since stabilizing Wilco’s lineup in the mid-’00s—building around long-time part

But they're still fun to go see.

That's like the opposite of "Shake it Off." -

Forming in 1994 out of the shards of Uncle Tupelo, at the time of this show, the band (who then consisted of Jeff Tweedy, Jay Bennett, John Stirratt, Ken Coomer and Max Johnston),

It appears in the middle of the "Casino Queen" breakdown they toss in some of "Black Magic Woman."

Even in the wake of a new release [which I love] and the dialogue that accompanies it, I'll never tire of hearing these old gems. They could really play the sh*t out of the A.M. and Being There tracks.

Every time this comes on in the car, I find myself stomping my foot and playing drums on the dash.

I enjoy his playing. All of his contributions to Wilco have been great. His perspectives on making music, recording music and how he comes up with his parts, as outlined in The Wilco Book, are thoughtful, interesting and engaging, every time I read it. -

There's a whole lot on The Whole Love that wholly moves me. -

Not if Adele has anything to do with it...it's a somewhat regular topic over at Wilco's Facebook page...

Sorry friend, didn't mean any harm. I too have purchased The Whole Love, twice, actually, on LP and deluxe CD. I'm just saying that if I really feel the need to have a slightly longer version of a song I'm willing to fork over a buck to get it, rather than trying to go on a hunt. Either way, my life will still be ok if I can only hear one version of a song in my car or on an iPod. But I will say that I'm certainly not the first one to point this out. I'm not the Wilco purchase police. I've observed on more than one occasion someone being chastised for asking for a commercially available produc

Times must really be tight when people are asking for a free copy of something that costs a little more than a dollar.

I think Bennett received writing credits because he actually co-wrote much of those songs with Jeff -- not because of any embellishments or production work.
