I've heard it put that way before -- in Pitchfork's review of the UT reissues. "I'm the rare bitch who resents bonus tracks. They violate the sequencing of classic albums; imagine how a film's coherence would be disrupted if the "deleted scenes" played right after the denouement..."

Brian Eno is producing the new Coldplay album
choo-choo-charlie replied to WaronWar's topic in Someone Else's Song
For those who care, news on the new album's release. Based on the first single, I'm not interested. Actually, based on the last record, I'm not interested, but I'm sure I'll give it a few spins if NPR or Spinner streams it. I remember a classmate of mine in high school giving me a copy of Parachutes before the band blew up. I thought it was great -- also loved the jazzy, folk-rock arrangements. Thought A Rush of Blood to the Head was pretty good, picked up that live DVD that came out. Thought it was a pretty good spectacle. I actually enjoyed most of X&Y. Have really lost interest since -

Which at the time would've been two records, very good ones at that.

Better than I remember it, or better than the last time I listened. Maybe it's because I'm insanely tired today and the weirdness of it all just fits my mental state.

Holy moly -- that'd be a heck of a show.

Futurebirds - Hampton's Lullaby. Excellent, reverb-laden, country-fried, folkified, dark, mysterious rock a la early MMJ.

Happy, cheeky Beatles? I think not.

That 1998 Lounge Axe show is one of my favorites. What a great story -- there must not have been too many other callers if you were able to get in 3x and still win! Seems that many of us folk here fell in love with Summerteeth and/or during the following tour.

Sometimes rock n roll is all about having fun with the music and not worrying about its substance! -

So glad I started my morning by watching this. -
That's a nice setlist. Via Chicago >> Should've Been in Love >> 5 tracks from AGIB. Yes.

I did not know that. I just tried it out on a "Hawaiian name generator" online...

According to this page, his Hawaiian name should be Lepi Tweedy.
