  1. I've tossed my helmet in the ring. Thanks.
  2. "Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss ..."
  3. Next they'll be complaining about walking down to the convenience store for your cigs.
  4. That is a great one. This one is worth a mention: Ian Hunter-Welcome to the Club. Also Jethro Tull: Bursting Out A giant listing of live albums. My God. ABBA put out a live album?
  5. The only Seger album worth owning -- Live Bullet, if only for Natbush City Limits
  6. It happens sometimes. People just explode . . . natural causes.
  7. "Sorry that I doubted you, I was so unfair. "You were in a car crash, and you lost your hair ..."
  8. I would hope to never be in such a situation, being a prisoner of war. I don't know how I would react in such a situation, but I know enough that I would never chastise someone for how they react in such a situation. Not to sound like an old fart, but we could certainly use to regain some of the moral fiber of the Greatest Generation. A co-worker's brother was stationed in Iraq, and when McCain visited, he essentially snubbed the troops, which lost him one vote apparently. My concerns in 2008 continue to go back to the fact that once the election is over, somehow there has to be some union
  9. Yes, the Mets are creepy under any circumstances.
  10. There wasn't one for Jacksonville.
  11. So you was the guy in the Mets "Tweedy" jersey. I saw you up front in Charleston and Cary. The kid's T-shirt looks like Chuckie from the slasher movies.
  12. At Jacksonville, Charleston and Cary there were kids in the front row, and throughout the theater. It's like a sporting event, as long as the people around them behave themselves it can only be a great experience.
  13. I actually thought holding the Total Pros back to the encore was a brilliant move. They pulled all of their songs together and they just seemed cranked up a notch. I thought it built slow, too, but starting at a notch above most bands, they opened from a healthy perch indeed. I was in 4th row, section 4. Seats were nice, venue was nice, but my only complaint is I'm afraid the folks in the two rows in front of me were free ticket holders from the Cary Chamber of Commerce. Older folk, oblivious to the music, sat the whole time, pounding drinks. But at least they were quiet and receptive. I jus
  14. Poor Pat got buggered by his telecaster at Cary, NC and didn't play guitar on this one. His white telecaster broke down three times and only got to really play electric on Hoodoo Voodoo. I enjoyed hearing this song live, but it certainly wasn't one of the highlights.
  15. A million thank yous for this! I'm listening to "Blood of the Lamb" and the clarinet sounds incredible. That guy nailed the solo, and a very saucy vocal by Jeff on such a fearful song. This will be treasured.
  16. My wife refers to Glenn as "Animal" from the Muppets. There were times you didn't know where to look. Poor places I turned to my wife and said "Poor Places, this is incredible." Then I turned to her with wide eyes and said "Reservations, oh my God!" And she said, "I don't know what they're called but I know the songs." After three shows, we were walking up the grassy hill and said, "Let's go to Maryland!"
  17. 1. Beatles The Beatles 2. Bob Dylan Blonde On Blonde 3. John Lennon Plastic Ono Band 4. Rolling Stones Exile on Main Street 5. The Clash London Calling 6. The Band The Band 7. Television Marquee Moon 8. Derek and the Dominos Layla and other Assorted Love Songs 9. Elvis Costello This Year
  18. We got stuck in very nasty weather on the way up -- it looked like a tornado had made its way up Route 17, with lots of trees down. We ended up talking to the sound man and by the time we got around back, Michael was the only one out there, and by the time we parked and ran over, he was gone.
  19. Those two were as great as you could imagine.
