Video has clips from Danny Miller at the hospital, concerts, backstage at The Tonight Show and in the recording studio with someone I can't make out.....I found it on Youtube so I guess it is alright to share. Mod edit: VC policy is VC unless the video is officially released by the band. No links posted here.

Lowell tickets just got delivered by UPS a couple of minutes ago......Tickets are nothing special IMO. What is so commemorative about them? Not that I care. They look like normal tickets to me.
-
I didn't say that.....I said a wider audience. They put in the hard work of gigging almost all year round. Why not wish them more success or a chart topping song or album? Some more recognition while they are still an active band would be great IMO. I don't see Neil Young in the tabloids or on ET and he is pretty successful and better known than Wilco. He's still credible and successful?

I think it's about time they get promoted and break out to a wider audience. They deserve it.

Just grabbed two on the field for Aug. 5. Also playing the 6th. Presale at Live-Nation but you need an American Express card to purchase.....Thanks to my sister-in-law for letting me use her card. http://www.examiner.com/x-2082-Beatles-Examiner~y2009m6d24-McCartney-website-announces-Boston-shows--and-more-to-come

"To the Morning" Dan Fogelberg

Not my favorite Wilco tune but this guy plays every instrument.....Not bad....

These folks were on the first American Bandstand. Great stuff. "The drummer supports the singer".....Isn't that why Jeff added Glenn to the band? Even these old timers get it. Grandpa Rock.

Youtube took him down for a while but he came back a couple of months ago......Enjoy the videos while they last. The music video police have been very busy recently.

I've been watching Archives Vol. 1 on blu-ray the past few nights with my son's PS3 and an HDTV. Don't have surround sound but what is coming through the TV speakers is pretty damn good. I watched the CSNY portions to see what video clips were included and was not disappointed. Film footage of several Neil songs from the Fillmore East shows is pretty cool. The film is a little grainy even on HD, but overall it is a masterpiece. Can't wait for the Wilco Archives to come out. Are you out there Jeff?

I still play it but I've been listening a lot to Wilco at Toad's Place from back in Sept. 2000......The second half of the show is very The Who "Live at Leeds" sounding once the Wilco/Bragg song portion of the show is done. Jay rocks in that show. I admit when I play the new album I have a different favorite song each time. I still feel "You Never Know" is the best with "One Wing" a close second. Just wish the jam at end when they first played it live made the cut on the album.

Forgot about Albert, but I wonder about his roid-rage like actions.

What's with all the hip injuries the past year? Lowell, Utley, Aroid, Delgado and now Myers? I think there are a few others as well.....Don't remember ever having so many. Hell the last one I remember was Bo Jackson and he hurt his playing football. Maybe steroid connected? http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2009/05/brett-myers-may-need-hip-surgery.html

Nice TV piece......A question.....At the end of the Austin City Limits tv show from 1999, Jay is playing a white Fender Telecaster. As they are leaving the stage he proudly points to the autograph on the body of the guitar in black marker as Jeff is embracing him. Does anyone know whose autograph that is?

I agree, especially the Who riff at the beginning of Outtasite(Outtamind) that follows the Casino Queen/Hoodoo Voodoo/Casino Queen (reprise), played near the end. Jay's guitar playing comes through loud and clear on the apparent sound board mix. I've been listening to it most of the day.

One of the comments at the end of the article about meeting Jay after a Wilco concert, seems to be typical of Jay from what I gather from those here who knew him and pretty touching as well.
-
Thanks, Been there many times but missed this one. Just downloaded it.......This is an absolutely great show.......Jay will be missed.

They have played a few shows a year. Once in a while Richie Furay shows up but this was a rare concert of almost all the original and early members including Furay, Messina, Young, Grantham, Schmit and Cotton. The only one missing was Randy Meisner.
