  1. I've downloaded more Wilco music from links on this site than any average fan should be able to........It just seems contradictory to allow the music without the images but add a moving image to it and that makes it illegal......I'm not angling to have the music links removed, just stating my opinion that the music people are splitting hairs over this issue.....The times are a changing when it comes to technology.......The music people were behind the times with Napster and they now are behind the curve with You Tube......It is never going to stop(video) and it only broadens the bands appeal and exposure.....If Jeff put out a DVD of the very concert being discussed I would purchase it because I saw it here or on You Tube.....Just my two cents......By not posting it, does not unrecord it.......The genie is already out of the bottle.....

  2. Why not a triple disc DVD? Can you imagine the stuff we will never see from IATTBYH.........You could probably make 10 new movies from the film they didn't use........

  3. I use the same tuning that I use for Pot Kettle Black.......Pretty close......DADF#AD......Sounds pretty much the same since I don't hit the F#,A or D strings much in that tuning while playing the song......

  4. As much as I like Being There, if you bring back Jay there would be no Wilco.......So why does it matter?........It seemed obvious Jeff and him were at the end of their partnership....The new lineup is the best contemporary band in the US today......They played Forget the Flowers in Worcester in December and it was great.......Remember you would have no Impossible Germany or Side with the Seeds as we know it without Nels.......Life goes on......I think the Stones should bring back Mick Taylor....... :shifty

  5. I think the second hammer on in the intro and outro posted above are not what he is playing here......Can't get it to sound the same.......any help?

In the above video, he appears to play the intro with a G chord shape with a hammer on/off the 2nd fret G string.......Then he appears to use an A minor chord shape and again hammers on/off again on the 2nd fret G string.....That is the closest I can get......Nothing like the intro in the tab posted above IMO......Comments?

  6. Man this has got me thinking about the first moments of a record. Wouldn't it be cool to have been alive and put on Neil Young's Harvest and heard the opening seconds of "out on the weekend" when it was first released.

It was since I was alive then :blink .......But hearing After the Gold Rush the first time was even better......Ditto the White Album (My favorite of all time)........

  7. There are different allotments of tickets for each sale. The Music Today presale was given a certain amount of specific seats to sell. The Calvin Theater presale doesn't close, it just gives mailing list subscribers the opportunity to buy tickets before the general sale is activated on Friday. I can still go in right now and buy tickets using the link the Calvin emailed me and choose from any of the seats that are left in the theater. The only ones I couldn't have chosen using the Calvin link are the ones that were reserved for the Music Today presale. They were never available to me. As for the people getting better seats the later they logged in through Music Today, what generally happens is there is a flood of people checking just to see if they get in at 10, and then some of them decide not to buy the tickets that were reserved for them. It takes time for those tickets to be rereleased back into the pool of available seats, which is why you can pull better seats at a later time.

It's all terribly confusing, but does that make sense?

It makes sense to a point.......If I logged in at 10 and had access to the double letter rows AA-GG I don't think I would have logged off without buying them.....But you think that's what people do?......Kind of strange.....Why bother logging in in the first place?

  8. I'm not complaining because I did get tickets for The Calvin..........But, it seems people who logged in later did get better seats......Could it be that the tickets from the 9:30 pre-sale had not been sold out and they waited to put the 10:00 pre-sale tickets up after that happened? Or might the number of tickets requested have an affect on what tickets one gets?......I am sure a few who logged in after 10 still haven't gotten any.......
