Hey all I'm thinking of purchasing a record player sometime in the near future to play the Wilco vinyls I am planning on ordering. I'm wondering if anyone could direct me on what a solid player would be (i.e. features i should look for). Not looking for anything extreme (something $300 or less). If anyone could help I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

That's how the poem felt. Kind of like an early draft version of Impossible Germany with less of the structural elements found in the final product.

There is a poem in Tweedy's book Adult Head with this title if I'm not mistaken. The lyrics were very similiar to Impossible Germany but with some variations and different verses/structure thrown in. Maybe this helps?

EVERY time I go into Chipotle on the U of M campus in Minneapolis its Being There... except for one occasion when Andrew Bird happened to be playing. Quite nice.

And another perfectly good thread is deduced to side debates on the merits of spencer tweedy's admiration for his father/father's band's album's cover... P.S. I think my dad is pretty cool. Just maybe not in the sense that another person my age would.

Maybe I'm crazy but I cannot find the Uncut review anywhere on the website. Could anyone help me out and point me in the right direction?

I, like many others, am very interested in this project. I'm new to VC so obviously a lot of my potential choices were taken but...I'd like to please please do a solo (Sunken Treasure) version of Theologians? I saw Theologians was done in a previous volume but I'm not sure whether or not it was done with a band or solo. Let me know.

I'm looking for the tab for the slide part (sorry for the vagueness) on Theologians. To give you a better understanding of what I'm talking about, its after the "cherry ghost" section at the very end of the song. I'm not sure what the technical term is but its the classical slide sounding section that I'm looking for specifically. I haven't seen the tab for it anywhere so if anyone knows the tab or could tab it out I would be very grateful.

Wow this is great. I always want to play this song but its tough when you don't have two friends to play with whenever. I agree its tough to do the song justice acoustically and solo but if it can be done you've done it. Thanks for this.
