My bad fellas. I figured it was a taping of the festival show. I didn't look. However, Austin is STILL hot as a motherfucker.

I am a life-long Bear fan and I am ecstatic about getting Cutler! I can't believe that it happened. This is the biggest acquisition that the Bears have ever made, ever, for the following reason: for the first time in my lifetime, actually any Bear fan's lifetime (Sid Luckman, eeeeee, maybe) the Bears have A REAL QUARTERBACK! It is worth every bit of what they gave up to get him. This is going to change the team for the better for the next decade. Jerry Angelo cannot pick first round talent. He is good in the later rounds, but not the first. (Rex Grossman, Cedric Benson, Michael Haynes,

The traders love this set. I was there, and it was so fandanglin' hot, that I really can't remember if it was any good. All I can remember is bumming way too many smokes from some poor dude next to me and swearing incessantly because it was so unbearably hot. If I remember right, that set was right before Dylan, and I left before he started for convenience purposes alone, and took one of those rickshaw dealies to the IronWorks BBQ and back to the hotel, where I sat there half-naked eating beef ribs, watching those giant fruit bats take flight from underneath the bridge in front of my hotel

Nice... just one DITKA short of a championship!!!!

Definitely... Angelo can't draft first round talent anyway. Good deal.

YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the update!!!!

Nah, not seeing it. I like all their albums. I have no qualms with SBS... If everybody quit at their peak we wouldn't have Michael Jordan as a Wizard or Sting playing the sitar... wait. I'm only jumping ship if I start seeing pyrotechnics and face paint... or duets with Babs. Seems to me we are simply witnessing a maturing band leader in less turmoil, and he is taking us along for the ride.

HEY!!! Get on it, dude!!! How's that?

yeah, man. Never thought of it like that, but it totally is.

They introduce the docks, and all the characters surrounding the politics and realities of that dying industry and the lengths that the people in that industry will go to protect it. It's a cool sub-story, but as you watch the rest of the series, minus a couple key characters, you don't hear much from that story line again. The rest of the seasons have common threads running through them. Season 2 is kind of the exception.

I'd love to get him here, and it makes sense to make a serious move to get a deal done. That being said... it'll never happen. The Bears don't believe in quarterbacks.

Probably a good idea. Nobody is worth the stilted consumption of "The Wire" Glad you are enjoying it as well. Don't let Season 2 throw you off when you get to it, I really like that season a lot, but some do not. It does kind of take a different turn and angle than the rest of the seasons. Just enjoy it for what it is... and Beanie!

What season are you on now? Is that still season 1?

Hey Gin, Any luck on that one? Not to be a pest. This one is bugging me. Thanks!

Big, round, blue and apparently headed toward a one-currency financial system spear-headed by '80's rap pioneers NWA.

You're right... no. There is no evidence. But as a life-long Cubbie fan, and an advocate of common sense, he was no doubt on the juice. I do not see the correlation between he and Shilling. Sammy started out as a skinny, fast, base-stealing, doubles hittter and ended up a giant, slow, huge, 60+ HR slugger. Not a normal progression for an athlelete. Sammy was the best, but he was as needled-up as Pinhead. Period. If Shilling was using, it was for recovery only... obviously... nobody would have been throwing dollar bills his way in the locker room.

That is hilarious. I'm a superdouche and tried to hit the link... yeah, I admitted it. How about a shirt that has a tapering list on the back that show's Jay Bennett's song-by-song contribution to every album... seems like that list is popular around here.

I agree. This is a complex issue and needs addressing, especially the reworking of the copyright mumbo-jumbo, how to get some monetary retribution to the label, artists, songwriters, etc. Can't really even be on his radar right now. BUT, while this is on the back-burner for the foreseeable future, he can't just say "No, really, go ahead and "steal" all the music you want.. ATTICA!" Might be cool if he did, but...
