And that my friend was part of the problem. NBC dropped the ball in regards to promotion on this one. Well, damn....there goes one of the few television shows I actually watched. It had a lot of potential. I especially liked the episodes John Goodman guest starred on. And I too really dig Amanda Peet

This kind of person buddy, this kind. I know this is coming, but I figure I got at least another ten to fifteen years until I have to give up Right. It's a "Grower" *Reason*

Robbers and Cowards is a good record, that's all that counts. Don't allow someone else's faith, lack thereof prevent you from discovering or enjoying it. (Just lookin for an excuse to post that link...so cool)

C,ville daddio. Why,you there? It's possible. They're always high energy kids. Finally saw this last night. Scott's vox. were a bit off on this one. Still, good performance. I believe that Frank takes the occasional lead vocal duties on some of the earlier material

"mysteriously attracted members of the opposite sex for either of us when worn". Uhh...not much of a mystery at least in regards to Neko. Edit: "hubba hubba"

I hear ya. But think how cool it'll be to hear most of this record live with tracks like those sprinkled throughout the set. DAMN!

I Don't know why but Letterman always runs long. I recently started TiVo-ing the show, noticed this and had to adjust the recording, uh ...accordingly. Haven't see this yet, but caught 'em live two weeks ago and they hammered out a blistering version of "Old Ways". These boys are awesome.

Very good. Surprised I hadn't heard more about it round here considering the Chicago contingent. NP:

Me too. Graft John Stirratts' disembodied head onto Jay Bennetts' body thereby retaining the only other original member while being able to reintroduce to, some degree, Jay Bennetts' musical prowess.

I just realized his second night at Boston Symphony Hall is June 27th and that I'll be in NYC that week. Wilco, Tuesday. M.Ward ,Wed. Dammmmn! This is "doo-able". EDIT: Merge will re-issue M. Ward's debut "Duet for Guitars#2" on July 10th.

Just got this in the inbox: M. Ward will be performing on Late Night with Conan O'Brien TONIGHT Thursday, May 17th. M. Ward will be joined by an impressive band of friends including Neko Case, Kelly Hogan, Jim James, Mike Coykendall, Than Luu, & Adam Selzer to perform Chinese Translation from Post-War. Don't miss this just-for-TV slice of musical magic positioned just a little later than what will no doubt be an action-packed season finale of The Office! Late Night with Conan O'Brien airs on NBC weeknights beginning at 12:37 AM EST. Check your local listings for channel informatio

No doubt: This record has been the soundtrack for my Spring this year; (a little dark for the season, I'll grant you). Drums are amazing. Try nailing that pattern in "Mistaken for Strangers", it's tough! Love everything about "Apartment Story". Try singing those lyrics out loud next time you've someone riding along with you. You get one of those "what the hell?" looks.
