Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival

One of my all time favs. Seriously underrated. I'd love to see him. -
Lots of subtle little things going on down in the mix w/ strings and piano and such;( I'm talking about the entire album here, not just MFS) They haven't tried to evolve or try anything differently style-wise really. It all just seems more refined than the previous records. I'm only going though it in it's entirety for the second time now. This really a good effort.

The drums and the cadence of the lyric are similar. I can hear it. Even the truncated riff (vaguely). It's it's own thing tho...

Sounds very good. They stepped it up a notch production wise. Richer warmer sound. A bit "darker maybe". Drums do appear more prominent on this one. Songs come from a bit darker place too I think. Really digging "Start A War" and "Apartment Story" quite a bit. Alligator proved to be a real grower for me, so we'll see.

"Tour EP" Pre-"everything all the time". Three demos, three live cuts. It's been out there awhile. It's just "ok".

Yea. And I believe it's an early pressing too. I'll take a look at the "run-out" when I get home this evening to see what it says. It's not an uncommon practice, although I can't recall the particulars of who generates the text or the reasoning behind it. Has something to do with establishing and identifying a tracklisting and the "sides" of an album when it goes through the mastering process. I think. Don't take that statement for gospel, it may be total bullsh*t that my sleep deprived brain concocted early on a Monday morning.

I've always wanted one but have never dropped the dime on it. Have played a thing called a "Fluke" tho.... It has a fancy plastic bowl body like an Ovation instrument and it sounded pretty "snappy". Played pretty easy too. Think there's a couple of models available, one's smaller than the other. Both are pineapple-ish in shape. Couple of hundred bucks a pop..they're neat.

I looked at the "Anti" Wait's page. It says CD format. Of course it says that for Mule Variations also but I do own that on vinyl. EDIT: It's not showing up at Insound either, so still no clue.....

I've said it before whenever one of these Neil threads pop up but it bears repeating: If you've got a turntable you can pick most of the back catalog up on vinyl "on the cheap". And really, there's nothing better than cranking up a copy of Tonight's the Night or Rust Never Sleeps and filling the house with all of it's inherent pops, crackles and glorious distortion.
