  1. Mine was Closing Time, and at the time I was too dense to "get it". NP
  2. Kinda hard to respond to this as it's all subjective. I love Emmylou, and I've seen her a few times but seventy bucks is steep. I think you'd have to take into account if this is a solo performance or if she has a band backing her. Again, I've seen her both ways. Both were intimate settings and once in a beautifully restored 1930s theatre. I definitely wouldn't pay that much for solo gig.
  3. It's interesting. The production is very good, sounds great. It flows well the way the tracks lead into each other. Some tracks like "Help" are very true to the originals while others like "Octopus's Garden" are drastically different. The Harrison acoustic version of "Guitar Gently Weeps" is beautiful. A real standout. It wont trump anything you may already have in your collection, and personally I think it's too busy in spots but you have to consider the project this accompanies. It's a fresh interpretation...It's good but I doubt I'll come back to it often. NP
  4. You had me at "Spoon". the Tick On another note totally unrelated, someone just sent me this. Dude looks like Tony Joe White.
  5. I like it lots although I admit I'm a terrible fan-boy. If you dig this one check out "Tonights the Night". Probably my favorite NY record. This one also has another live version of "Come On Baby Let's Go Downtown" with Danny Whitten on vocs. NP:
